Anyone have a copy of Bird Conservation magazine, Summer 2024 issue, they'd be willing to part with?

Have you been to page 16 of this season's Bird Conservation magazine? There, you'll find a great story exploring the intersection of baseball and birding in which I make a cameo to discuss @chicago_birder work with nighthawks! Full story here: issuu.com/abcbirds/docs/bird…

Credit where it's due, the White Sox are not having a great time right now, but I'm willing to give them one in the win column just for their solid nighthawk numbers.

Y’all this is actually a wider problem than that. There isn’t a “male” loneliness epidemic, there is simply a loneliness epidemic and guess what? It’s not just an American problem.
The male loneliness epidemic is caused by men not wanting to adapt. It's not women's fault.

Best moment of Air & Water Show was this impromptu fly-by in Vee formation at Belmont — especially the crowd reaction.

The one thing I'm actually excited about coming from DPD! Entire genres of music blossomed because of this place.
The former home of WAX TRAX! Records, 2449 N. Lincoln Ave., received a preliminary recommendation from the Landmarks Commission today. A Midwest destination and global pioneer of an eclectic array of music, the shop and record label occupied the two-story building from 1978-1993.

In June, 29 beginning birders gathered for an intro to birding at the Wild Mile, a floating eco-park on the north branch of the Chicago River. The event was hosted by @UrbanRiv. Visit the Chicago Birder blog for the full report: chicagobirder.org/blog/2024/…

The only thing I can confidently predict is that the guy who shot at Trump is going to have the most baffling political views you’ve ever heard

Sometimes I miss being 9 years old and hearing names like Tony Blair and Slobodan Milosevic and Yasser Arafat on the news and not knowing what any of it meant, and just going outside to find bugs, which was much easier because there were like 10x more bugs back then

I love talking about these birds.
There's nothing more American than ball games and Common Nighthawks! Enjoy this informative nighthawk post from The Chicago Birder Blog. Where have you seen nighthawks this summer? chicagobirder.org/blog/2023/…

I really should know better than to pitch bird stories in the middle of plover nesting season that aren't plover related.

Genuine question: Is anyone doing anything to prepare for and counter the Project 2025 nuts? I'd like to look back in a few years and say we acted rather than sat appalled on the internet as our government was dismantled.

Biden could clear 400 electoral votes if he refers to Trump as a 'sick fuck' during the debate tonight and begins every reply with "Felon say what?"
