Tara Erker's poster looked at the relationship between visual entrainment & aging. We found that as age increased, relative entrainment amplitude decreased & latency of entrainment increased.

We observed changes in spontaneous neural dynamics during development. Sex effects were found in alpha, beta, and delta, and age effects were seen in alpha, delta, beta, and gamma frequency bands. Interestingly, theta showed an interaction between sex and age. - Samantha Penhale

Lucas Weyrich's project focused on cannabis polysusbtance users during visuospatial processing utilizing the Visattend task. We found that brain connectivity changes in polyustbance users as well as spontaneous oscillatory beta activity.

Using Magnetoencephalography, we looked at which regions & frequencies in the brain are most reliable during resting-state in a 3 year longitudinal study of healthy adults. We found delta, alpha, & beta to be highly reliable particularly in the parietal cortex from year to year.

Chloe Casagrande, a former Summer Scholar & current RA in Dr. Tony Wilson’s lab, discussed preliminary findings suggesting aberrant activity in the somatosensory functioning of people with AD or HAND relative to their healthy aging peers.
