They keep saying they’re the next Disney But look at 5 years of Google Trends: @pudgypenguins vs Pokémon, Snoopy and Hello Kitty. Pudgy is almost always below 1 out of 100. The max is 4, in August 2025, at the Pudgy Party launch. Even in its peak week that’s 15x lower than Hello Kitty Every spike is the $PENGU token or the games. The toys in Walmart since 2023 don’t show up on the chart at all All the marketing moves like Man City and the Las Vegas Sphere ad are ways to create the look of activity. In reality it’s spending so believers hand over even more money. After the Sphere, search is dead quiet For regular people Pudgy was nothing before and still is - Pudgy Party - shut down in under a year with 1M+ downloads, no refunds or compensation announced - Manchester City - a merch collab, not a partnership - Las Vegas Sphere - $500K+ for 7 days, and no spike in interest - Abstract - shut down, with time given to withdraw - @PudgyWorld_ - purchases go through Stripe, the Abstract link is just for show. In my playthrough you can buy skins after an hour of story. Web3 never showed up in it

They’re doing exactly what @NFTherder was talking about: trying to buy the public conversation So is @NFTherder a fortune teller or Luca Netz’s son?
Oh look, @pudgypenguins completely cooked. They tried to buy my silence for a pathetic $2500 through their little errand boy @Solana_Emperor and got told to go fuk themselves under the penguin’s tail. Tell your owners they can shove that pocket change straight up their penguin ass.

The buyback support is over Just like Luca promised: he's focused on the @pudgypenguins scam now
Capitulation of @pudgypenguins. Team rescue mission - CANCELLED. Yesterday the team’s wallet (0xb972C97213a47Bf58fE2cCe28eB3e2F65C842F97) still had a $640K and 37 NFTs. This morning only $13k remained. Everything else was quietly relocated to a brand-new wallet: 0x0D074Ceeaf5673FA8335BFC91b7E3A35312028B3 Tx: 0x0b6fe42ef482beb3a7b0de379806e0561404ebd8ca261916b123a11c6a4684bf What? Why? To what end? The cold fact is simple: they stopped buying back and stopped placing bids. Meanwhile, a truly glorious cascade of liquidations is kicking off on Blur. The “safe zone” supposedly starts only once bids stay above 2.7 ETH - which looks about as realistic as a flying penguin, without continued buybacks. This has all the charm of a slow rug. Good riddance.

Caught @NFTherder’s space yesterday. It was good to hear well-argued points, a clearly defined position, and the way he shut down manipulation For @pudgypenguins believers who want to hear the other side, it’d be worth a listen

Why Abstract was doomed There were plenty of signals, and everyone talked about them Some louder, some quieter, some didn’t want to spread FUD 👇

On Luca and the Penguins That neither marketing, nor dev, nor Luca himself delivered doesn’t surprise me Luca isn’t a brilliant manager Pudgy Penguins is a successful marketing project. But look at the asset’s chart: it doesn’t grow, it steadily slides

What’s next, as I see it The Penguins are heading for a similar scenario They’ll say the money’s gone, resell the assets and IP, and relaunch it somehow And everyone who thought they were part of the company and waiting on payouts will get nothing That’s not a prediction. It’s just how I see it

Lots of people today talking about disappointment and who @LucaNetz really is Meanwhile they've still got Pudgy on their avatars and in their wallets You can write all the posts you want, but your real position is whatever's sitting in your wallet

Then again, we won't be passing our farmed Abstract XP down as an inheritance now either

Three signs you're a degen gambler (going by your NFTs): - you're minting art - the collection has no public dev - the collection has no utility If all three line up, it's not an investment - it's a bet. Which is fine in itself, as long as you're honest with yourself about it
