Last week, I turned 1 SOL into 3 SOL+. This week, I blew a 1 SOL challenge in just 2 days across 3 tokens. Can’t lie, it pained me😔. But after reflection, here are my 5 top lessons that can save you✍🏾 1. Don’t confuse one good call with a repeatable strategy. My first challenge worked because I had insiders that went sure 3x so I went in heavy and it worked. On the second challenge, I went heavy again without having that same edge and that was the mistake. ‘Conviction without an edge is just gambling’. 2. Size according to your holdframe. If you’re taking a 2x trade, you can go heavier but your dip allowance has to be tighter. If you’re holding for a 4x+, you size smaller and give the trade room to breathe. Going heavy while expecting to survive a huge drawdown is how i got wiped. 3. A slow cook can become a dead cook. Slow cooks are cool but as a Degen trader, volume matters. If you bought at a high MC and 2–4 days pass with no real momentum, your capital may be better deployed somewhere with actual activity. Always remember, ‘if you are not the dev, someone always has more profit than you’ 4. Momentum on the way down is different. Buying can be slow and selective but Selling is always a flow. One big sell triggers another, then another, sentiment shifts and the red candles start stacking. If you don’t have a clear reason to believe the project still has room to run, don’t wait for everyone else to decide your exit for you. 5. If you’re trading fast runners, don’t disappear. My last challenge reminded me of this the hard way. Going offline for 1–2 hours when volume is already moving can completely change your position. Either use bots to set TPs or stay ultra-active. ‘inactivity is also a position, don’t take that’ My biggest lesson? Degen trading isn’t just about finding the next 3x. It’s about knowing when to press, when to size down, when to leave and when to protect what you have. Lost the challenge but I shared the lessons. We go again💙
