BEHOLD!!!
It was 90+ degrees, but the moment? Riveting.
NSU officially unveiled the Devon M. Henry Communication Tower, honoring a man who’s left an eternal footprint on campus.
Pride, legacy, and history rose with us in the heat. #Behold #NSUHistory #NowIsOurTime
One of the most memorable days of my life.
It’s official: NSU’s iconic tower is now the Devon M. Henry Communications Tower.
Named for the distinguished alumnus and national changemaker, the campus came together in the July heat to witness the unveiling. #Behold #NSUHistory

Big Rector x THE Current Rector, the Great Bishop @TheMountBishop. @Norfolkstate is in great hands!
Thank you, @kendricklamar. Reminded me of my small contribution to the culture. I had fun with this one!

Hey @GlenSturtevant, how would you feel if you found out that the contractor in question is also a VA GUBERNATORIAL APPOINTEE??? Would you request he be removed from serving the Commonwealth? This is extremely distasteful yet not surprising.
Here is a letter that Sen. @RuffForSenate, Sen.-elect @JohnMcGuire4VA, and I sent to the Youngkin Administration requesting the Governor to identify the businesses and contractors involved in removing the historic Monument to Reconciliation at Arlington National Cemetery, and to remove those businesses from lists of approved contractors with the Commonwealth of Virginia.

We are thrilled to host @DevonHenry here in @UniSiegen — this Tuesday we are looking forward to his distinguished lecture on confederate statues and his work on their removal and relocation. Come around and join us!
9/8/21...Two years ago to the day!!!
They said I couldn't
They said I shouldn't
They said don't erase our history
They said they would kill me and my family
Well...we did it!

Imagine turning down BIG companies who want your time and story so that you can speak with someone who you feel is more culturally connected and they are woefully unprepared...do you give them a chance or say this a sign of what's to come???
Super grateful to speak with the good folks from Good Morning America, @ABCGMA3 about life after confederate statues.
Appropriately showing today on #juneteenth at 1pm est.
