Hi Tommy. Xxxxxxxx here. I served for 24 years as a Royal Marines Commando, leaving as a senior Warrant Officer. I have to say I am at a complete loss as i no longer identify with the country for which i proudly served. I am a father and grandfather and i fear tremendously, and with trepidation, at the continual demise of our once great nation and fear for my children/grandchildren. There is no free speech any longer and i witnessed at first hand the ‘two tier’ policing at Armistice Day at the Cenotaph. There was complete provocation by the Met Police towards patriots, whose only intent was to get close to the Cenotaph, following desecration by Pro Palestinian Protestors in the days leading up to Armistice Day. The manner in which the Met Police kettled patriots close to MOD Main building was done in provocation and to create tension, thereby labelling patriots as Right Wing thugs intent on causing trouble, when in reality, all they wanted was to be within earshot of the Cenotaph to show solidarity and support. I was dressed in Overcoat, Green Beret and Medals and i made my feelings abundantly clear to a Met Police commander, that they were inciting tensions. I was appalled at their behaviour. The patriots were exemplary behaved to a man and i felt proud at the respect and behaviour they all displayed. The media were there in numbers, cameras in hand desperate for something to trigger so they could get their fill. I will be there on Saturday marching with my Green “RM Commando” Beret and medals for the first time. It pains me to see the betrayal of British people who are labelled ‘Right Wing’ for being patriotic, caring and loyal, and for standing up for what is unacceptable and disrespectful. The media are very much to blame in the vast majority of circumstances as they are quick to label any group patriotism as being thuggish or of a hooligan element. I witnessed this at first hand at Armistice Day. I never in my wildest dreams ever thought i would ever see a British Soldier murdered in cold blood by terrorists on the streets of the capital, or indeed a witch hunt of former servicemen, many of which are OAP’s now, for carrying out orders, whilst dangerous killer terrorists were freed from as part of the Good Friday agreement. Hypocrisy at its finest. I really do not understand now why i served my country so proudly for 24 years, as it is unrecognisable and has been allowed to go to the dogs. I am truly ashamed.
