A couple years ago a 1kw psu used to seem overkill even for high end desktops (not accounting for multi gpu workstations). Now days its starring to feel more like a middle ground option at best. – at California, USA
I wasn't expecting for people to be that salty about E33 winning that many awards. I mean if people were talking about a turn based game this much AGAIN what does that say about the competition? – at Temecula, CA

Here's Battlefield 6 running at 60 FPS at 1080p low on a near 10 yr old midrange GPU (GTX 1070). Meanwhile many past games would require latest highest-end GPUs just to barely run at 30 FPS! Don't believe the grifters/idiots who preach that games used to be a lot more optimized.
Next thing we are going to see Core Super Ultra Ti X. – at Fallbrook, CA
Intel rumored to introduce “Core Ultra X” tier CPUs alongside Panther Lake

Seems online stock for 9070xt wasn't enough at all unless it got picked up by bots. They had a month to be ready, and yet they are gone. That said, microcenters seem to have around 4 figure amounts of them and still have plenty of stock.
At the same time since they won't ship that pretty useless for most people who are interested in buying one. – at San Diego, CA
I'm guessing the 9070 will sell poorly, while 9070xt will be a hit. The one thing helping the 9070 the most (yet not enough imo) will be the lack of 5070 supply for sale at msrp.
For $50 usd, it makes no sense to buy a nont xt model. Hope AMD can keep this msrp for at least 1 month before price increases. – at San Diego, CA
While not a fan of the connector itself, the bigger problem is how the plug is integrated to the board. If the card could see the pins even on sections of 3, 2 sets of pins per section, it could power balance itself like they used to.
12v2x6 is a bandaid solution at best that still puts the blame on the user.
Already saw overhyped system integrators defending Nvidia and saying how the wires on their gpus don't get hot. Completely out of touch with the situation that has been happening for a couple of years already across 2 gens. Reminds me of another si that said they had no issues with their intel systems, and we know how that turned out. – at California, USA
Nvidia really didn't care about this gen since AMD didn't compete at all. Jensen was right. My 4090 was a great investment 😆

Why would they remove the ability to see hot spot temps? Wonder it it has something to do with older rumors of Blackwell having temp issues. youtu.be/La4EdRPT_Mg?si=lbON… – at San Diego, CA
100% agreed. This is such a fail by AMD.
Some outlets are trying to cover this as some big brain move to get pricing right. They have not been able to get it right when they were confident about their products, and you think they will get it correct now that they are scrambling to fix this mess? Highly unlikely that will be the case.
Somehow amd has managed to put radeon along arc in the bs excuses group of gpu makers. – at San Diego, CA
While the msrp is basically what was expected and leaked, i had already decided not to buy this gen. Performance increase wasn't going to be massive like it was from the 3090 to a 4090.
Well played Nvidia, well played. Feed full of 5070 = 4090 😆
5070 should be around 4070ti in raster/rt. This is not a 3070 = 2080ti moment. – at California, USA
You know what? i can see why AMD chickened out of showing their gpus. Some big claims by nvidia granted it seems to be rooted in their new tech of what people call fake frames. Will see how it works out as info is available. – at California, USA
What an absolute disappointment that presentation was. Why is their marketing so bad? There was so much potential momentum thrown in the trash today. Lap tops and ai seem to be doing well, but gpus.... were literally missing. – at San Diego, CA
So I see that the other issues with intel b580 have finally been talked about by larger sources. The laser focus from intel on 1440p and the lack of improvement on 1080p should have raised red flags.
This once again shows that gpu testing needs to change. Yes, all gpu experience this to some degree, but it's felt the most on entry-level gpus. It's cool to test the best cpu with even the worst gpus, but we need useful real-world data for the viewers.
The number of people using a b580 with a 9800x3d vs say a 5600 or 12400f isn't even close. – at California, USA
If this is true.... what a disappointment. Price needs to come down before launch. Not the usual lets kill momentum with dumb pricing just to drop it to the right levels a month later. – at California, USA
