White men: build societies using violence against women, PoC, queer folk and other minorities to ensure their dominance. Everyone else: adjusts their whole lives around avoiding white male violence. Also white men: “Why are you all living in fear? It’s just a little virus.”

Absolutely heartening experience in Belfast today: as I was walking through a park I spotted a young woman wearing a mask, a black surgical. As I often do, I offered her an FFP2 - she said she was wearing a mask because she was sick. She thanked me, and I thanked her for masking.

Could also teach that if you’re going to do the time, you might as well do the crime. It’s mind-boggling that anyone thinks this is ok.
Replying to @GeauxGabrielle
Collective punishment is such a strange lesson to teach children 😭 imagine doing everything right, staying quiet, following every rule, and still getting punished because someone else messed up, all it teaches you is that being good doesn't guarantee you'll be treated fairly

Teachers need to stop doing this. I was a PERFECT student. Straight As. Never in trouble. I remember in 3rd grade the teacher sent a note home to EVERYBODY parents cause like 5 kids were misbehaving. My mom beat me mercilessly for a week. You dont know these kids’ home lives.
As the "good kid" back in school, I hated it when teachers would punish the entire class for the actions of one or two students. It doesn't encourage other students to behave, it makes other students wonder what's the point in following the rules if they'll get punished anyway

If you’re still masking… thank you! It may feel lonely but you’re not alone Many of us are still wearing masks and trying to break chains of transmission As the world falls apart…protecting your health and the health of others is paramount It’s resistance & community care.

The Liberals and Conservatives just voted together to attack labour, environmental, and Indigenous rights to fast-track corporate mega projects. This is the exact same approach the Liberals fought under Stephen Harper. Now, they're bringing back that very same agenda and Harper is cheering from the sidelines. We don’t save Canada by sacrificing our environment and constitutional protections on the altar of private profits. Bill C-39 is an unmitigated disaster, and Canadians will be fighting back. ctvnews.ca/politics/article/…

I don't know how many more years of this nonsense we must be subjected to but at some point, the truth must be disseminated and actual advice around protection offered. It's potentially deadly advice as it stands. ukhsa.blog.gov.uk/2026/09/25…

UKHSA blog post about 'freshers flu'. "It's unpleasant but rarely serious, though sometimes it may be genuine flu. Flu is more than just a bad cold and can be particularly serious for people with long-term health conditions." No mention of Covid of course in this opener. 1/🧵

My first Covid infection led to blood clots in my leg, which dislodged, passed through my heart and could well have killed me as they hit my lungs. Is risking another #PulmonaryEmbolism an acceptable risk? I have been offered a free Flu vaccination; isn't Covid more dangerous?

Holy flipping cow. Symptomatic NHS staff *looking after immunocompromised patients* no longer need to test for Covid. Absolutely astonishing. This will kill patients. Beyond horrifying.

Things have taken a nasty turn for me … I’m stuck in a complicated situation I can’t get out of that’s decimating my baseline. The wait lists for “support” are years long. Medical care is non existent. I’m tired & scared. Would appreciate good vibes & cute pics!

I’ve had POTS since long before 2020. It is nasty. There’s no medication that fixes it. Your life will never be the same if you get this.
From a study in Australia, "almost two-thirds (62.5%) of the Long COVID participants also met the diagnostic criteria for Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).. on standing, average heart rates rose by 46 beats per minute in the POTS group and 35 beats per minute in the Long COVID group, compared with just 13 beats per minute in healthy volunteers. In Australia, around 800,000 people are living with POTS[, which] is a complex and often misunderstood condition affecting the system that controls automatic body functions such as heart rate, breathing and digestion. The impact of POTS and Long COVID on everyday life was significant. Almost 6 in 10 (58.3%) Long COVID participants had been unable to return to work following their infection, while just 4.2% of participants with POTS were engaged in full-time work or education." Please take good care of your heart. 'New clues link Long COVID and POTS' news-medical.net/news/202609…

I've got to be honest, I'm feeling very jealous of all the people posting on here that they've got their novavax jab. 😥
Got Novavax yesterday and I'll still never understand why we're still sending actively sick people and people looking to get vaccinated to the same cramped unventilated rooms with no air purifiers or N95's in sight.

One of the most misunderstood results I see in autistic and PANS/PANDAS children is a high serum B12. When B12 is high in the blood, I want to know why it isn't getting into the cell. Because B12 has one of the longest journeys of any nutrient. It needs stomach acid to free it from food, intrinsic factor to grab onto it, and a healthy ileum to absorb it. Then it has to get inside the cell. And this is where lithium gets really interesting - it's so often low in the kids we see, and it's been linked with B12 transport and uptake. Once it’s in, B2 has to be converted into FAD and FMN - without these, B12 metabolism will not work properly. And what makes it even more convoluted is that without good thyroid function, that B2 step gets disrupted- this is why Greg Russell-Jones’ work on iodine and selenium is so interesting. Add inflammation, which can push up the proteins that carry B12 in the blood, and you can see how the serum number can go up without reflecting usable B12 in the cell. This is why I also look at MMA. It goes up when the B12-dependent conversion of methylmalonyl-CoA isn’t working properly, and you can measure it in both blood and urine. This does NOT mean these children never need B12, but if the problem is somewhere along that pathway, more B12 won’t necessarily fix it. #B12 #PANS #PANDAS #Autism
Keep getting "high" serum B12 on your bloodwork? If you have a chronic illness (or autism) it is likely that this is a "paradoxical b12 deficiency". It needs to be TREATED. "The major cause of Paradoxical Vitamin B12 Deficiency appears to be lack of functional vitamin B2, which may occur due to overt vitamin B2 deficiency in a person's diet, Hypothyroidism, or due to lack of adequate intake of Iodine, Selenium and/or Molybdenum, which in turn leads to insufficient production of the two active forms of vitamin B2, namely FMN and FAD. FMN and FAD both have critical roles in cycling and maintenance of activity of vitamin B12, particularly methyl B12." Don't IGNORE this!!! It is not a meaningless result. Doctors are not taught about this and most will ignore it. Don't let this slide. @subversivepsych Is a great account to follow for information on b12 and chronic illness. vitaminb12deficiency.info/pa…

Talked to an old friend yesterday about how hard it is to be disabled and try to protect my baseline with all the viruses, and she just kept saying how she didn't want to be 'uncomfortable' and would rather die early than take any precautions. So just...fck people like me then??
