Fake Girl Accounts Exposed: ₹25.16 Lakh Honey-Trap Scam | Hyderabad Cyber Crime A shocking online honey-trap scam has come to light in Hyderabad. A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly creating fake Instagram and Facebook profiles using women's photographs to gain victims' trust, obtain intimate images and blackmail them for money. According to media reports, police said the accused interacted with more than 1,000 people, with 82 allegedly sharing intimate photographs or videos. The reported amount involved was ₹25.16 lakh, including alleged extortion and a separate investment fraud. Victims reportedly included professionals, businesspeople and gig workers.
