Day 2/30 building in public 🚀 Office holiday today, so came to a coffee shop and got back to building Documind ☕️💻 Updates for today: • Fixed the Form Fill page. Earlier it was asking users to upload a file before even opening the page • Added pagination to the homepage • Tweaked the UI a bit for a cleaner design • Added ZIP download for batch transformations and compression Small improvements, but the product is slowly starting to take shape. Back to building. #buildinginpublic #Saas #Ai #codex #chatgpt #winterarc #PDF

🔥 Hot Take: An app with 3 features that work flawlessly will always be better than an app with 20 features that crash frequently. Stability over features. Reliability over complexity. Users don’t care how much your app can do if they can’t trust it to work. #SoftwareDevelopment #BuildInPublic

🚀 Building in Public | Day 20/30 A lot is happening with DocuMind! 💻 Currently focusing more on the desktop app than the website, and development is going really well. Still figuring out a few things: 🤔 Web vs App: Should I maintain both when they do almost the same thing, or go all in on the desktop app? 📦 App Size: Keeping it lightweight and efficient. 💰 Pricing: Finding a model that makes sense for users. 🔐 Privacy & Security: My biggest priority! Documents should be processed locally, without compromising user privacy. Really excited about what I'm building. Can't wait to share it once it's ready! And when it launches, I'll definitely need your support with marketing and getting the word out. ❤️ What would you prefer for a document tool: a website or a desktop app? #BuildInPublic #DocuMind #SaaS #IndieHacker #Privacy

🚀 Everyone is building a SaaS these days! And honestly, that’s a great thing. 💻 But here’s what people need to understand: 🤖 With AI, almost anyone can build a SaaS now. Building is no longer the biggest challenge. Selling is. Before jumping in, understand a few things: 💡 Idea: Does your product solve a real problem? 🎯 Market: Are people actually willing to pay for it? ⚔️ Competition: Why would someone choose yours? 📢 Marketing: How will people discover your product? 🔄 Retention: Why would customers keep using it? And then comes the cost of running it: 💸 Domain name ☁️ Hosting & servers 🗄️ Database & storage 🤖 AI API subscriptions 🔐 Authentication & email services 💳 Payment gateway fees 📊 Monitoring, maintenance & marketing Some of these can start free, but costs grow as your product scales. 📈 AI has made development easier, not entrepreneurship. 💰 Building a SaaS doesn’t mean you’ll start making money. It takes consistency, patience, customer feedback and serious commitment. ⏳ Don’t just build because everyone else is building. Build something people actually need and are willing to pay for. 🎯 #BuildInPublic #SaaS #IndieHacker #AI #Startups

One of the best ₹55,000 I’ve ever spent! ⌚ My Apple Watch has genuinely been one of my best investments so far. Here’s why: • Cellular connectivity: Can make calls even without my iPhone nearby. A lifesaver in emergencies. • Health tracking: Tracks my workouts, heart rate, sleep and other health metrics. • Phone-free runs: I can go running or on long walks without carrying my phone. • Music & podcasts: Connects directly to my earphones, so I can listen to anything on the go. It’s practically a mini smartphone on my wrist. ₹55K might sound expensive for a watch, but the convenience, freedom and peace of mind make it totally worth it for me. What’s one expensive gadget you bought that turned out to be worth every rupee? #AppleWatch #Apple #Tech

Back when I was in Bir, Himachal Pradesh, this was my read. 📖🏔️ Sitting in the mountains, reading about the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh. There’s something different about reading travel books while travelling. One mountain trip making you plan the next! #BirBilling #ArunachalPradesh #TravelDiaries

💡 Did you know? Netflix uses a technology called Chaos Monkey that randomly shuts down servers in production. Yes, they intentionally break their own infrastructure! Why? To make sure their distributed systems can survive unexpected failures without bringing down the entire platform. Imagine deliberately crashing servers just to make your application more reliable. That’s the beauty of backend engineering! #SystemDesign #BackendDevelopment #TechFacts #Microservices

Manual software development is starting to feel like a thing of the past. 🤯 REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) is taking AI development to another level. Imagine finding an app you love, giving REA a reference, and asking it to understand how it works and build something similar. From analyzing existing systems to recreating functionality, AI is changing the entire development workflow. We’re moving from writing every line of code to understanding, prompting and building. The future of software development is getting crazy! #AI #ReverseEngineering #SoftwareDevelopment #BuildInPublic

India being India! 🇮🇳 Barricading is closed for a reason, but people will still lift the rope, cross with their bikes and create a traffic jam. And then we complain about traffic and infrastructure. Civic sense is still a luxury in this country. #CivicSense #India #Traffic

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes when you book a ride on Rapido or Uber? 🚕 Both rely on powerful backend systems: • Microservices architecture • Real-time driver matching • Location tracking • Kafka for event streaming • Databases and caching • Cloud infrastructure Uber operates at a global scale, while Rapido focuses primarily on India. Here's a simplified High-Level Design (HLD) comparing both. 👇 Which architecture would you prefer working on? #SystemDesign #BackendDevelopment #Microservices

Just look at the journey of Elon Musk 🚀 • Zip2: Online business directories • X.com/PayPal: Digital payments • Tesla: Electric vehicles • SpaceX: Reusable rockets • Starlink: Satellite internet • Neuralink: Brain-computer interfaces • The Boring Company: Underground tunnels • xAI: Artificial intelligence & Grok • Optimus: Humanoid robots For me, Tesla and SpaceX are his biggest achievements. One helped transform the EV industry, while the other changed how we think about rocket launches. And now Tesla has demonstrated a Roadster that can perform aerial maneuvers using SpaceX thrusters. 🚗🚀 From electric cars to rockets, robots and now cars that can briefly take flight. #ElonMusk #Tesla #SpaceX #Innovation #Technology
