AI is a business. But its influence increasingly extends beyond business.
When a handful of organizations build technologies that millions of people use to find information, create content, write code, and make decisions, financial influence can become something much bigger.
That doesn't make AI inherently good or bad. It makes the question of who builds it, controls it, and shapes it worth asking.

🚨 What happens behind the scenes of KGB RAT?
#KGBRAT is marketed as a legitimate Windows administration tool, but our latest research reveals a Malware-as-a-Service platform built for surveillance, credential theft, #ransomware deployment, and victim intimidation.
Key findings from the investigation:
🔹 Infrastructure linked to KGB RAT dates back to January 2022, years before its public promotion on underground forums.
🔹The malware combines keylogging, credential theft, HVNC, ransomware, and an advertised #CryptoClipper capability within a single builder.
🔹 Operators abuse legitimate services such as #Telegram Bot API for victim notifications and ip-api.com for geolocation profiling.
🔹 KGB RAT includes unusual harassment features, including screamers, jump scares, and forced BSOD events, blending #financialcrime with psychological disruption.
🔹 Analysis revealed extensive anti-analysis and defense-evasion functionality, including Windows Defender exclusion tampering, suspicious PowerShell execution, AV enumeration, and protections targeting .NET reverse engineering tools.
🔹 Despite being marketed as a new offering, KGB RAT shares significant overlap with the NjRAT/Lime-Worm ecosystem, demonstrating how established malware frameworks continue to be repackaged and commercialized.

Take your last serious fraud case and map it against your org chart. You will likely find one stage of the attack that nobody actually owns.
Cyber sees the phishing campaign. Fraud sees the suspicious login and eventually the transaction.
But what happens in between?
The moment a victim enters their credentials into a convincing fake page often falls into a gap. Cyber has stopped watching because no corporate system was touched. Fraud hasn't started watching because no suspicious session or transaction exists yet.
That unowned moment is where attackers capture the information that powers the fraud that follows.
Modern fraud doesn't begin at the payment. The transaction is simply where the attack ends.
This is the first piece in our five-part Cyber-Fraud Fusion series. Discover the complete 90-day playbook for closing this gap in Part 5: bit.ly/4hOTrhM
