If people ever watched online her stand up act from before her TV show (the Queen of Nice era), she was edgy as hell in the early 90’s. She’s legit funny & can be dark when she wants. Underrated standup comedian.

An entire generation idolized Mike McDermott when the real hero of Rounders was Joey Knish.

Rounders is an all-timer for me because it has four of my favorite actors all throwing 100 MPH at the same time: Matt Damon, Ed Norton, John Turturro, and John Malkovich. All four of these men are cooking with hot grease here & perhaps no one more than Malkovich. Everything about this is so ‘90s coded & I think it’s aged exceptionally well. For those of you who’ve yet to see this film, I can’t emphasize enough its quality.
This is how they shaped the Mattson character in Succession. Greg even tells Tom he heard Mattson wears headphones during sex with “randos” (switched it to podcasts instead of music though).
His fat ass gotta also be throwing 98 mph in the sack to land a girl like that. Jesus. I could’ve stopped ruining my mental and physical health and just learned a fastball or how to throw a TD to land these girls.
