There are 2 ways to get help and both involve appealing to the ego of the midwit. There is a third way but you have to go to obscure forums for it. Way #1: Grovel. treat them like the smartest person on earth. debase yourself and make yourself seem like a lowly peon in comparison to them. Way #2: Reverse psychology. State a wrong opinion or solution to a problem to trigger them into giving you the correct one to showcase superiority. Way #3: Skip Reddit, go to a forum. Forums are filled with older people who actually want to help. you will get some assholes, but most of them will be glad to answer questions.

This is apparently a completely foreign concept to some people.
