πΊοΈ THE MAP β v2 Β· Oct. 17, 2026
One line was missing from v1. I found it on my own chart tonight β so here is the correction, the same night, with the paper that proves the line.
WHAT CHANGED: Chris Albert and Sgt. Michael J. Lank are connected now. The record connects them twice. The Read defense's own filing (Apr. 16, 2024) calls Lank "one of Chris Albert's best friends from high school" β and puts Lank at a Canton bar with Chris and Kevin Albert on the night of Aug. 31, 2002. That night is in federal paper of its own: the defendants' summary in the Lopilato v. Lank pre-trial memorandum (Doc 24) records Chris, with Julie beside him, coming to off-duty Officer Lank in the Centerfields lot after a fight, his hand swollen.
Nothing on v1 was wrong. That's the problem worth naming: a chart can be accurate about everything it shows and still mislead by what it leaves out. The line was documented in my own archive the whole time. Now it's drawn.
Everything else was re-checked tonight in both directions β every line on the chart traced to its document, and every documented tie in the companion file checked against the chart. One line was missing. This is it.
v1 is superseded. This post takes the pin. A full companion file stands behind this chart β every tie, every source, every gap the record refuses to fill.

Count me in too. If Allen gets a retrial, I'm back on Delphi the same day.
If it's allowed to stand, your rights have been quietly stripped away. What they did to Allen was torture. And the evidence they used to convict him with still baffles me.
Replying to @GrantSmithEllis
@GrantSmithEllis going to take his REMARKABLE skills to Delphi when Richard Allen gets a retrial?
Bob, Ali, Andrea and Grant?
It's almost like God's putting together the Justice Avengers 2.0.
GAME. CHANGER.

β οΈ SUPERSEDED β Map v2 is live and pinned.
What changed: ONE edge added β Chris Albert β Sgt. Michael J. Lank. The defense's own filing (Apr. 16, 2024) calls Lank "one of Chris Albert's best friends from high school," and the pre-trial memo in Lopilato v. Lank (Doc 24) puts them together at Centerfields, Canton, on Aug. 31, 2002 β with Kevin Albert drinking with them that night. V1's text named the friendship; the chart didn't draw it. Now it does.
The current Map is the pin. This version stays up for the record.
It's been the same bar since 2002. Drink with the right people, keep the night quiet, keep the badge.
EXACTLY HOW LOW IS THE BAR AT @CantonMAPolice ?! π€¨
π¨ KEVIN ALBERT π¨
π© DRINKING ON DUTY: Sustained misconduct while assigned to a cold case investigation. Apparently, professionalism was off duty that day.
π© CONDUCT UNBECOMING: Another sustained finding from the same incident. Imagine needing an investigation to remind a detective how to behave.
π© MISSING BADGE: His badge ended up in Michael Proctorβs cruiser. Questions about his firearm were investigated but not substantiated. WHAT A CIRCUS.πͺ
π© THREE SHIFT SUSPENSION: All that, and the punishment was THREE SHIFTS?! π€¬ Is that discipline or a long weekend?! WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO KID?!
π© OβKEEFE INVESTIGATION: Proctor coordinated witness interview information with Kevin Albert despite Cantonβs RECUSAL and Albertβs family CONNECTION to the crime scene. The defense raised conflict of interest concerns.
π€ So lets get confirmβ¦
You can VIOLATE department policy, earn MULTIPLE sustained misconduct findings, lose track of your badge, and still have the lead investigator in a major death investigation coordinating with you DESPITE your familyβs connection to the scene? And people should just forget it? And trust you? Pay you? Respect you? π³
WHAT EXACTLY DOES IT TAKE TO EMBARRASS THIS DEPARTMENT?! Apparently Kevin Alberts not enough.
Just move on.
I mean @maura_healey the @MassGovernor said βThings happenβ right? π€¦ββοΈ
YES, GOVERNOR. THINGS HAPPEN. THE QUESTION IS WHAT HAPPENS TO THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH THINGS?
IF THIS IS CANTONβS IDEA OF PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS, THE BAR ISNβT LOW. ITβS BURIED.
Whatβs happened to SAFETY FIRST??!! π¨π¨π¨
The public deserves accountability, NOT ANOTHER badge, ANOTHER EXCUSE, and or another slap on the wrist.
Safety should mean ONE STRIKE AND YOUβRE GONE. Sorry but YES, the job is THAT IMPORTANT. π€¬
ONE SERIOUS, SUSTAINED BREACH OF PUBLIC TRUST SHOULD BE ENOUGH TO COST YOU THE BADGE. WHY WOULD ANYONE ARGUE WITH THAT?
Policing isnβt a job where the public should have to wait for a SECOND serious violation before demanding consequences.
THE BADGE IS A PRIVILEGE.
β‘οΈ PUBLIC SAFETY IS THE RESPONSIBILITY!! β¬
οΈ AND ACCOUNTABILITY SHOULD NEVER BE OPTIONAL. π€¬π©
πΊοΈπ₯¦π THE MAP β KAREN READ Γ SANDRA BIRCHMORE Β· v1 Β· Oct. 17, 2026
For two years, one sentence has held the wall: different cases, different people, nothing connects them. Every line is a document; every failed line is named.
SIX PEOPLE hold documented functions in BOTH cases:
JOHN FANNING (MSP Det. Lt.) β kept a journal on the "Birchmore homicide investigation" (July 2021).
BRIAN TULLY (MSP Det. Lt.) β authored Report 112 in the Read matter.
NICHOLAS GUARINO (forensic examiner) β extracted the defendant's phone in Farwell; in Read, his extraction of Jen McCabe's phone produced the disputed search.
MICHAEL MORRISSEY (Norfolk DA) β prosecuted Read; his office's CPAC unit ran the 2021 Birchmore investigation.
MATTHEW DUNNE (MSP Tpr.) β at Birchmore's apartment Feb. 4, 2021; Dunne v. Meta Platforms is his own filed case.
MICHAEL J. LANK (Canton PD Sgt.) β on scene at 34 Fairview (Read); on scene at Sandra's apartment (Birchmore).
ONE MAN CONNECTS BY KINSHIP, NOT AGENCY: KEVIN ALBERT (Canton PD Det.) β DEFENSE WITNESS #3 in Farwell (Doc 260) β and a man Canton PD's own report (21-79-OF) puts inside Sandra's apartment on Feb. 6, 2021, reviewing her building's video. Full file: today's Albert File.
MORE THAN PEOPLE: ONE DEPARTMENT β CANTON PD searched 34 Fairview, held the scene at Birchmore's building, and produced the incident reports both cases now fight over (21-0107-OF; 21-79-OF).
ONE EVIDENCE CLASS β THE PHONES: In Farwell, the extraction fight is live now (FRE 1006). In Read, it ended careers.
ONE PRACTICE β REPORTS WRITTEN LATER: An 84-day supplement in Farwell; Lank's scene account in his own later report (21-79-OF).
Full person-by-person sourcing: the companion file. Gaps are printed, not filled.
THE FENCES β LINES THAT FAILED TESTING, NAMED SO THEY ARE NEVER QUIETLY REUSED:
β No document in the held record names Proctor in the Birchmore investigation. His load here is institutional, never personal.
β The twins' mother is carried under two names in the record (Tracie; Cynthia). Unmerged β both print.
β The filings name her unborn son's father only as "Witness 1" (Doc 179). The name reporting attaches to him is an inference β charted as one, never as fact.
Sources cited inline.

π₯¦ THE ALBERT FAMILY FILE β COMPLETE (Part 3 of 3)
Parts 1 and 2 were the structure: Brian and the house, Kevin the hinge, Chris the quiet connection. This is the paper that came after.
THE INVESTIGATOR'S TWO ANSWERS
Lead investigator Michael Proctor admitted under oath that he knew Chris, Julie and Colin Albert; his relationship with Chris and Julie, he said, was "little to no relationship." In his February 2024 grand-jury testimony, he said he had told First Assistant DA Beland he "did not know and had no relationship with the Albert and McCabe families." Both answers are in the record. This file draws no conclusion from them. It prints them side by side.
THE AFTERMATH PAPER
In September 2023, Chris Albert β a witness in the Read case β applied for a harassment prevention order against Aidan Kearney. It was denied after a hearing. Within hours, Kearney was posting publicly about the proceeding. DA Morrissey personally wrote the Chief Justice of the Trial Court that there was "no way that he would've been aware of the proceeding without an insider working in the Courthouse," and asked that the clerk's office be investigated. She replied the same day that she was. (Morrissey email, Sept. 29, 2023)
Chris Albert is also a member of Canton's Board of Selectmen. (Canton Citizen, Aug. 2023)
And the defamation suit β amended June 5, 2026 β was filed that spring β Jen McCabe, Brian Albert, Colin Albert and Brian Higgins, against Read and Kearney. Read the caption carefully: Chris Albert is not a plaintiff in it. He appears in its pages as Colin's father, and as a target of the campaign it describes. Precision matters, because everyone else will get it wrong.
THE FENCES β WHAT THIS FILE DOES NOT CLAIM
β Whether Chris Albert entered 34 Fairview that night: undocumented.
β One beat of the 2002 night is contested inside the federal memo itself: its defendants' summary names Chris approaching Lank at 12:30 AM; the owner's account names Tim. "Tim Albert" is no typo β he is a fourth brother, documented in the defense's own filing β and the two accounts are not mutually exclusive: both brothers were in that bar.
β What Kevin Albert was doing at Sandra Birchmore's scene β beyond the lines of his own department's report β is stated nowhere. Canton PD's incident report (21-79-OF) puts Detective Albert inside her apartment and at the review of her building's video on February 6, 2021, assisting the State Police. No filing in either case explains that assignment, and none explains the Farwell defense's listing of him either. Two silences, in two cases' paper, around the same man.
One family. A house in one case, a hinge in the other, and a quiet brother whose best friend walked through both doors. Every line above is a document. The gaps are printed as gaps. That's the file. π₯¦π

π₯¦ THE ALBERT FAMILY FILE (Part 2 of 3)
THE QUIET CONNECTION β CHRIS ALBERT
The third brother is the one nobody charts. Chris Albert β husband of Julie, father of Colin. (Read civil complaint, ΒΆ30)
Chris and Julie lived at 7 Meadows Ave in Canton β two houses down from John O'Keefe, at 1 Meadows Ave. Colin testified he had known O'Keefe since he lived two houses down from him, and that his parents were friendly with him. (Colin Albert testimony, May 15, 2024, as reported)
On January 28, 2022, Chris and Julie were at the Waterfall Bar in Canton with Brian, Nicole, the McCabes and Brian Higgins β the group that, in the complaint's words, "planned to continue the party back at the Alberts' home in Canton at 34 Fairview Road." (ΒΆ30)
His son Colin was at the house that night; the complaint says so. (ΒΆ32) What no document says is whether Chris himself ever walked through his brother's door. That gap is printed here as a gap.
One fenced line on Colin: the defense alleged he had a "beef" with O'Keefe over beer cans on his lawn. Under oath, Colin denied there was ever any animosity between them β and testified that his January 28 text, ending "if not, I'm going to fuck up your lawn," was a joke. The allegation is the defense's; the denial is sworn. This file prints both and adopts neither.
The first man through that door the next morning was Canton Sgt. Michael Lank β "the first person to enter Brian Albert's residence," in the defense's own filing, which calls Lank "one of Chris Albert's best friends from high school," a man who "has known the Albert family most of his life." (Supplemental Memorandum, Apr. 16, 2024) Eleven months earlier, Lank was the Canton sergeant holding the scene at Sandra Birchmore's apartment. (MSP report, Feb. 17, 2021)
The friendship has older paper. In August 2002, in a Canton bar parking lot, Chris Albert β with Julie beside him β approached off-duty Officer Lank and told him he had just been in a fight; Lank noted his hand was swollen. The night ended in a second fight, and charges against the two men Chris had fought. In October 2003, both men were acquitted of every charge from that night. (Lopilato v. Lank, Joint Pre-Trial Memorandum, Doc 24)
The defense's own filing states that night held more of the family: Chris Albert "and his brother, Tim Albert" walked out to that lot and, in the filing's words, "proceeded to physically attack and beat" Marc Lopilato β and Lank, the filing says, "had been drinking at the bar with Chris Albert and Kevin Albert" that night. (Supplemental Memorandum, Apr. 16, 2024) Tim is a fourth brother; the 2007 federal memo lists him as a witness, and no other paper in either case gives him a role.
Part 3: the investigator's two answers, the aftermath paper, and the fences. π₯¦π

π¨π₯¦ THE ALBERT FAMILY FILE β COMPLETE (Part 1 of 3)
Four brothers. One house where a Boston police officer was found on the lawn. One family name on a federal witness list in another woman's murder trial. This is the family documented inside both cases β told only from the paper. Three brothers get charted below. The fourth is the one everybody forgets β including, until now, this file.
THE HOUSE β BRIAN ALBERT
Brian Albert owns 34 Fairview Road in Canton. In the early morning of January 29, 2022, John O'Keefe was found on his lawn, and later died. Karen Read was prosecuted for his death. Every line in this file starts at that address.
Brian's wife is Nicole Albert. His son is Brian Albert Jr. β the gathering at the house that night was for Brian Jr.'s birthday. Nicole's sister is Jennifer McCabe, Brian's sister-in-law; her husband is Matthew McCabe. (Read civil complaint, ΒΆΒΆ30β32)
THE HINGE β KEVIN ALBERT
Brian's brother Kevin Albert is a Canton Police detective. That one relationship β the detective is the homeowner's brother β is the documented reason Canton PD recused itself from the O'Keefe investigation. (Read civil complaint)
And Kevin Albert is in the other case's earliest paper himself. On February 6, 2021 β two days after Sandra Birchmore was found dead in her apartment at Windsor Woods in Canton β Canton PD's own incident report (21-79-OF) puts Detective Albert at her building with Sgt. Lank and Det. McCourt, there "to assist the State Police in obtaining video" from her building. In the leasing office, with Troopers Dunne and Tufts, they reviewed the lobby video: Sandra last appears at 5:46 PM on February 1; at 9:27 PM an unidentified man enters β tall, burly, work boots, black jacket and hood β and is gone by 9:56. The troopers took custody of the hard drive. Then Det. Albert went back inside her apartment with Lank and McCourt, alongside Troopers Dunne, Tufts and Sgt. Fanning, while the State Police processed it.
A month after that scene work, Kevin was texting with John O'Keefe β about drug dealing in front of O'Keefe's own house. Canton PD's own FOIA release carries the exchange across four weeks, March 5 to April 1, 2021 β eleven months before O'Keefe's own death. O'Keefe reports a Burr Lane dealer, George Williamson, "dealing in front of my house"; Kevin takes the plate and answers, "I'll make some passes" β and says he'd like to "jam him up." (CPD FOIA texts) On August 8, 2023, Chief Rafferty confirmed that channel out loud at a Select Board meeting: O'Keefe had been reporting drug activity in his neighborhood to Kevin Albert. (as reported)
In the Read case, his name appears in ADA Brennan's Brady letter of February 4, 2025 β one of seven law-enforcement witnesses with sustained misconduct findings in the POST database.
And in United States v. Farwell β the federal trial over Sandra Birchmore's death β the defense's witness list names Kevin Albert at No. 3. (Doc 260) No filing states why the defense wants him. The listing is the record. The reason is not. But the paper underneath the listing starts in her apartment.

π¨π₯¦π HOLMES β SAID THEN / SAYS NOW
He investigated his own department. Brian Holmes β Stoughton's deputy chief then, Kingston's police chief now β testified Thursday and Friday (Oct. 15β16) in United States v. Farwell.
THEN β the order. On Feb. 5, 2021, the day after Sandra Birchmore was found dead, Chief Donna McNamara directed Deputy Chief Holmes to run the internal affairs investigation. It became 21-1-IA. He worked on a preponderance-of-the-evidence standard, and signed the report on Aug. 29, 2022. (21-1-IA)
THEN β the findings. Fourteen allegations SUSTAINED across three of his own officers. Four against Matthew Farwell β conduct unbecoming, incompetence, untruthfulness, attention and devotion to duty. Seven against William Farwell, including department-computer queries of Birchmore herself and 24 queries of himself. Three against Robert Devine, the man who had run the Explorers program. One allegation was NOT sustained: conformance to laws, against Matthew Farwell β the report states that finding would have required the testimony of Sandra Birchmore, who is deceased. Of Devine, Holmes wrote: "I do not view Devine to be a credible person."
THEN β the recommendations. All three men resigned before the report issued; Devine resigned days before a second interview Holmes had scheduled for him, a timing he wrote that he drew a negative inference from. Holmes recommended the POST Commission revoke all three certifications and enter the men in the National Decertification Index. He recommended POST subpoena Facebook records to authenticate the "Marty Riggs" alias he attributed to Devine, and that his own report go to forensic statement analysts to gauge the truthfulness of all three men's statements. His conclusion: no other current member of the department had an inappropriate relationship with Sandra Birchmore. And he recommended one more investigation β 22-3-IA β to follow up with former members of the Explorers program.
NOW β Thursday. Called at 3:15 PM, now chief in Kingston since April 2024, he testified he did not know, before Sandra's death, that Matthew Farwell had been having sex with her. Asked whether John Fanning's interview of Farwell was conducted in line with best practices of law enforcement, an objection cut the question off. No answer appears in the reported record.
NOW β Friday, on cross. The defense took him back to the call of Jan. 20, 2021. As it was presented to him, he testified, it suggested an extramarital affair, not a statutory-rape allegation β and he agreed that learning only of a possible affair would not itself trigger an investigation. He said he had no information that Farwell had sex with an adult or a minor. He tried to interview the caller β Julia Perlin; she cooperated, in his words, "not fully," speaking with his investigator by phone. The defense also pressed him on seizing Sandra's laptop and turning off its Wi-Fi to preserve evidence.
NOW β Friday, on redirect. After his internal affairs investigation, he testified, he reported to the FBI and wrote a report for the Chief. The FBI's case agent has testified the federal investigation opened in October 2023 on three referrals. His IA was one of them.
Hold the two records apart, the way this post holds them. His paper sustained untruthfulness against all three men and asked that all three be decertified. His oath, this week, is that what reached his department in January 2021 read as an affair β and an affair, alone, opens no investigation. Both are in the record. Neither gets flattened into the other.
And one thing his paper asked for was never mentioned across two days of testimony β not in the reported coverage: 22-3-IA, the follow-up he himself recommended.
A deputy chief who sustained fourteen findings against his own. Judge his oath by his paper.
#SandraBirchmore #FarwellTrial #SaidThenSaysNow
π¨π₯¦π GUARINO β SAID THEN / SAYS NOW
Same examiner. Both cases. Nicholas Guarino testified Thursday (Oct. 15) in United States v. Farwell.
THEN β Feb. 9, 2021. Farwell consented to a search of his iPhone 11. The consent covered one thing: messages between Farwell and Birchmore. Guarino extracted it, found none β Farwell had already said he deleted them β and the phone went back to Farwell the same day. (Doc 310)
THEN β his other paper. His first report on Jennifer McCabe's phone held two searches: 6:23:51 AM and 6:24:37 AM. A deleted 2:27:40 AM record surfaced only in his supplemental report of April 24, 2023, pulled from the WAL file. His own report is careful: a user could not purposely delete from that file through the phone. What was deleted is documented. Who deleted it is not. And the fence stands: Green's affidavit lists a search at 06:24:18; Guarino's report lists 6:24:37. Two records, two times β neither gets flattened into the other.
NOW β Thursday. Called about 12:47 PM, now a civilian examiner for the Norfolk DA after 10+ years as a trooper, he said he extracted five devices β including Sandra Birchmore's iPhone 12, an older XS and a MacBook, and Farwell's iPhone 11 on Feb. 9, 2021. At Fanning's request that day, he said, he searched Farwell's phone by Sandra's number, found no messages, and it was returned the same day. He also testified Lt. Fanning manually accessed Sandra's MacBook before a second extraction β and that the manual access altered data on the original device, with an earlier extraction preserved for comparison.
And a deletion of his own. Separate from Fanning's access, Guarino acknowledged removing data he characterized as redundant β in a case that reached him as a suicide. His words, carried as a direct quote by WCVB and also reported by WJAR/NBC 10: "Originally this came to me as a suicide, the redundant data was removed." His deletion, his characterization. The record keeps the two apart, and so does this post.
Then the cross β and the losses are separate losses; keep them separate. The data from the February 2021 black-bag extraction of Farwell's laptop "was not retained," he testified (McPhee's live notes). An early, partial extraction of Sandra's MacBook was not retained either (Enterprise News). An external MSP hard drive holding forensic files crashed, and files were lost with it (McPhee; Enterprise News). Asked about the digital investigation, he answered "I don't remember" β again and again. And the defense pressed him on why the loss was never documented in a report (Sue O'Connell, NBC Boston).
Hold the variance where the record puts it. On direct, reporting had an earlier extraction of that MacBook preserved for comparison. On cross, an early, partial extraction "was not retained." Both sentences stand in Thursday's record. This post prints both and merges neither.
No WAL, no Safari-tab, no Read-case cross in Thursday's reported testimony. What was said is above. What was not said is also the record.
Judge his oath by his paper.

π¨π₯¦ THE FANNING FILE β the man who wrote it down 31 days later
When John Fanning takes the stand in United States v. Farwell, the most important interview of the Birchmore investigation will be five years old. It happened in a school parking lot. It was never recorded. Nobody took notes. And the only report of it was written 31 days later, from memory, by him.
February 6, 2021, about 3:10 p.m. β two days after Sandra Birchmore was found dead. Sergeant John Fanning and Trooper Matthew Dunne interviewed Matthew Farwell in the parking lot out front of the Gibbons School in Stoughton. Farwell told them he had known Sandra for about ten years, going back to when she was a Police Explorer and he was an instructor. He said the sexual relationship began sometime in early 2020. He described the "pretty nasty argument" at her apartment on February 1, said she was alive when he left β and denied he was the father of her unborn child.
That denial matters to the government. Its own filing calls the statement "self-serving" β and then concedes the conditions it was made under: "That short interview occurred in a school parking lot and neither law enforcement officer recorded it or took notes of any kind." (Doc 339, ΒΆ4)
So there is no tape to check the report against, and no notes. There is only Fanning's report, dated March 9, 2021 β thirty-one days after the conversation. Dunne, the other interviewer, never wrote one at all.
The March 9 batch holds a second parking lot. On February 11, Fanning and Dunne interviewed the defendant's brother, William Farwell, in a parking lot at Cobbs Corner in Stoughton. That report is dated March 9, 2021, too.
Three days after the first interview, on February 9, Fanning met Matthew Farwell at the Norfolk DA's office in Canton. Fanning asked for his consent to take data off his phone, had him sign the form, took the phone, had Trooper Guarino extract it β and gave it back the same day. His report of that is dated March 11.
The same day, Fanning, Dunne and another trooper retrieved Sandra's laptop in Canton and passed it to Guarino. Fanning's written analysis of it is dated August 16, 2021. It concludes, of the texts between Sandra and Matt: "There were no threats of harm by any of these individuals, including Matt." In April 2021, Guarino extracted Farwell's work phone, and Fanning analyzed both phones: no communications with Sandra Birchmore on either.
And across three of his reports, from March to August 2021, the same sentence does the framing in his own hand: Trooper Dunne "responded to Canton for the suicide death of Sandra Birchmore." His partner's lead report, the one underneath all of it, closes on a different line: cause and manner of death "pending further study."
If the name sounds familiar from another case, it should. The same John Fanning β by then a detective lieutenant β sits in the troopers' group chat entered as Exhibit 567 in the Karen Read case, as a supervisor, on the night Proctor texted about going through Read's phone. The words in that chat are Proctor's, not Fanning's. And in July 2024, the State Police's own internal-affairs office closed its investigation of Fanning himself β into whether he, as a supervisor in that chat, had failed to act on Proctor's texts. The allegation was not sustained: Fanning told investigators he was on vacation that week and never saw them.
I can't tell you what John Fanning remembers about February 6, 2021. Neither can he, from paper β there is none from that day. What I can tell you is when he wrote it down: March 9. Thirty-one days later. Both sides have listed him as a witness in this trial. When he is sworn, everything he says about that parking lot rests on a report he wrote from memory, a month after the fact, about an interview nobody recorded.
The paper is below. Read it the way I did. π₯¦π

βοΈπ₯¦ CHEW AVENUE β THE BONES HAVE BEEN DETERMINED
The bones recovered Thursday (Oct. 15) from the yard at 417 W. Chew Avenue are not human.
Law-enforcement sources told KYW Newsradio (Friday night, Oct. 16) the bones are animal bones. The Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office has been at the home multiple times this week for similar discoveries that turned out to be animal bones.
As of today, no human remains have been recovered at the property.
What this does NOT establish: that the house is clear. It isn't. The excavation is still running, the brick-lined pit found Thursday is still being processed, and the DNA and chemical samples taken from inside the house are still at the lab. A yard can give back animal bones and still be holding its secrets.
What it does establish: the first physical find of this dig has been called, and it wasn't a person. The women linked to this house are still missing, and the ground is still being read.
The dig is expected to continue through about Oct. 21.
The record, not the rumor. π₯¦π
