Scientists warn that microplastic pollution in our air and water may increase the risk of serious health impacts, but the Trump administration scaled back federal research on these toxicants—leaving families in the dark about their health. chicagotribune.com/2026/06/2…

For years, some of Alaska’s most vulnerable children have faced harsh conditions for months at a time in locked psychiatric facilities. A new law aims to change that. motherjones.com/politics/202…

As some of you know I‘m a cc activist & a psychologist. I worked the last months to set up a virtual counselling with a focus on living with Covid/Long Covid. I applied for governmental funding for my business & today it was denied. I suspect due to a “Covid Business Idea” 1/2

Please consider donating to @CarnivoraCC 's fundraiser so she can set up her Covid Conscious virtual counselling service. This service would be of immense value!

This is a death sentence for so many disabled people in this country.
Trump's DOJ is arguing that states should not be required to provide in-home or community-based care to Americans with disabilities, jeopardizing care for over 8.4 million Americans.

SCOOP: The EPA has known for nearly a decade that an influential 2013 scientific paper that concluded glyphosate is safe was actually ghostwritten by developer Monsanto. But the agency never informed the public and continued to rely on it, according to an EPA memo obtained by Mother Jones. motherjones.com/environment/…

Installing air filters in classrooms improved student test scores: math up by 0.20 and English by 0.18 standard deviations — equal to about 2.5 EXTRA MONTHS OF LEARNING. More: smartairfilters.com/uk/en/sc…

the thing abt care is, i promise you do not care as much as you think you do or would for a loved one being disabled. care must be developed & unless you're actively cultivating it, you're most likely going to only be good for a performance of it. it must be worked like a muscle.

Oh that's cool. Can we make already available wheelchairs and their repairs affordable and hold airlines accountable for breaking them?
This is the kind of robotics progress I pay attention to. Toyota introduced Walk Me, a walking wheelchair that moves on mechanical legs instead of wheels. It can climb stairs, handle rough terrain, and adapt to environments that were never designed to be accessible. The point is independence. Getting from A to B without asking the world to be perfectly flat. I have long believed robotics will not be about humanoids. It will be about task shaped machines, designed around real human constraints. Walk Me is a good example of that shift. So here is the question. If robots are shaped by tasks, not appearances, what should we design next? #Robotics #AI #Accessibility #AssistiveTechnology #HumanCenteredDesign #FutureOfWork

There’s a petition to Mamdani calling for clean indoor air in schools. Sign and contact the mayor’s office! It’s more focused on reducing pollution and using green energy but it also includes mention of reducing airborne illnesses. A win for everyone. nyclimateworks.org/green-hea…

A year ago, I analyzed MAID deaths from a report by Ontario’s Chief Coroner. Now my analysis, which includes the case of Mrs. B, is in global headlines as she received MAID the same day she was declined palliative hospice care. This is not hypothetical. people.com/husband-pushes-wi…

What makes me sad seeing photos like this & of the NASA astronauts is, you must understand, these athletes didn’t just spontaneously all decide to mask. They’re being forced to mask bc richer ppl have a stake in their bodies & health. Their health has value. Yours doesn’t.

Your reminder that the Nuremberg Trials established that "just following orders" is not a defense for federal paramilitaries breaking the law and committing atrocities.
Fox News is defending feds killing another Minnesotan: "They are literally enforcing the law. These are targeted interactions, these are targeted operations. They are simply doing their jobs."
