👉 Companies can still get the type of disruptive innovation they need to survive and create lasting change... by building momentum... incrementally. 🤔 @DesktopShortcut and I saw this so often that this principle is at the heart of @adaptmanifesto. strategy-business.com/articl…

Love that this chart highlights George Lucas, @skywalkersound, and @ILMVFX’s oft-overshadowed technological innovations, like the motion-control camera, go motion, animatics, THX sound, CG animation, non-linear video editing, etc, alongside the masterful storytelling. #StarWars

Ringo was always innovative, subtle & oh SO talented. Here are a few examples. You should then listen to what he considered to be one of his finest performances: RAIN.

Among the many reasons it's a bad idea for Facebook (or any one corp) to lay out their proprietary vision for the #metaverse is that their one-sided POV will be the de facto POV for lazy media and a massive uninitiated pop that's hearing the term for first time right now.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is set to outline his vision for the metaverse, a virtual realm where people would work, play and shop that he sees as key to the company’s ties with younger users on.wsj.com/3nCVoRh

This is great. I love the framing of #adaptability as a "meta-skill" (vs "just" a skill). In fact, adaptability is a core set of (mostly learnable) competencies that together shape the way we respond to change. cc @adaptmanifesto
We can't predict how the future will be so we must be ready for multiple different futures. That's why adaptability is such a core capability for leaders & organisations. Here's a fantastic blog & graphic based on the recent @McKinsey article: qaspire.com/2021/09/28/build… TY @tnvora

I've been preaching that digital will be the *least* of all disruptions. The corollary to that is that tech (alone) cannot solve the world's biggest challenges. I do believe that digital provides changemakers with a powerful toolset, but it's not enough. nytimes.com/2021/08/10/techn…
