This is a massive own goal by AB. Everyone knew the redevelopment of the area was part of the sportswashing activity. If this were a business, they’d be in serious trouble, but because the finances and developments benefited those in power, it’s being asked for a softer touch.
The UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has said he would be “really concerned” to lose Manchester City’s Emirati owners from the Premier League.
