He accidentally lets out a squawk.

He’s watering some potted plants he keeps along the windowsill.

He’s resting in an old wooden chair, eating a peach.

The falcon soars into a descent and comes to a perch atop a railing high above the city and shifts back into his human form. Pell crosses his arms as he gazes down like a watchful gargoyle.

Pell grimaces. “Are you sure about that?”

“Put your tongue away. Please.”

“Has everyone been behaving themselves today?”

🪽/ I really do think that with the disappearance of Vivi and Cobra situation, it would be cool to see Pell and Chaka fighting with the Revolutionary Army at some point.

Pell paused for a moment. By many accounts, he should harbor hatred for this man and the things he did to his beloved land. But he knows that those feelings would get neither man anywhere. “Things are…unfortunately not much better than when you last walked amongst our sands.”

“Scars can serve as permanent reminds of our mistakes, as well as how far we have come.” Pell nodded slowly.

Time heals all wounds as each day brings a new dawn. However, some wounds heal more slowly than others…

“I like to think that I have grown much over the years. Not just as a warrior or guardian, but also as a person.”

He’s sitting at his desk. On top of the wooden surface is his gatling guns, disassembled neatly on a white cloth. Meticulously, Pell picks up each piece and wipes it with an oiled cloth. Properly maintaining his equipment was one of his favorite things to do on quiet nights.
