Desaad revels in pain, sorrow, and fear. While torturing humans to find the Anti-life Equation,he drinks in the emotions with his Fear Syphon.
Desaad tortures Dr. Fate to enjoy His prey's emotional output of pain and fear. As a @JackKirbyNewGod, Desaad has tech that can pierce all the way to a being's soul. Desaad wants nothing more than @DarkseidvsJLA's approval as He's seen mostly as a coward on the field of battle.
Honestly, they wanted a foe dangerous enough, such as a cosmic threat like @JLAvSteppenwolf, to bring the League together and allow the focus on #JusticeLeague introductions rather than on the villain. Basically, one step below ultimate foe @DarkseidNewGods.

With the @JackKirbyNewGod and #Steppenwolf, what you see is not necessarily what you get. Human perception of these cosmic beings is understood through only what our minds can comprehend. Hence, their appearance may appear to change and look less humanoid.

Tough call! The green outfit is my choice. It's @SteppenwolfvsJL original look from Jack Kirby. The red & black is awesome too as @JLAvSteppenwolf redesign for Super Powers toy line/comic by Kirby. Finally, the movie @SteppenwolfsAxe based on @JimLee design from New 52 is very cool.

@JLvsSteppenwolf uses @MotherBox_ to transform humans into @Parademon_. @Apokolips_Now Army has fought tens of thousands of battles throughout the Multiverse & been repelled only once; against the forces of Earth 10,000 years before. @JLvsSteppenwolf is returning for a reckoning.

The first two images I can share from 'The Brave and The Bold' in color and black and white. This series is dedicated to my late father-in-law, with whom I shared a great passion for Irish and Celtic mythology. I miss him.
