E essencialmente, a partir do RE4, o terror deu lugar a ação. É absurdo? Sim.

Supergirl is a massive disappointment. It feels nothing like a Craig Gillespie movie and instead comes across as a half-baked Guardians of the Galaxy. Milly Alcock tries her best, but I never fully bought her in the title role. As someone who wasn’t particularly high on Gunn’s Superman, this actually made me miss Superman. The plot is paper-thin, with the movie feeling like a collection of random scenes stitched together rather than a cohesive story. Sure, Krypto is still absolutely adorable, but a cute CGI dog isn’t enough to carry an entire film. The strange needle drops don’t help either. Just a bizarre and deeply disappointing experience. #Supergirl

#Supergirl is a “super-horrendous” comic book movie “with the worst script I can remember,” reads Variety’s review from @OwenGleiberman. James Gunn said he wasn’t going into production on any movie until the script was rock-solid. For that was the overriding problem with the superhero overkill era: the films had lousy scripts, which served as grids for layering visual effects. Gunn was right to want to take the comic-book genre back to the basics of well-structured screenwriting. So what has he done in his second DC outing? He’s given us a comic-book movie with the worst script I can remember. wp.me/pc8uak-1lHr5y

I went into this movie hyped and incredibly optimistic, but unfortunately, it just fell flat. I really tried to get invested, but the plot, the villain, and the pacing just couldn't reel me in. The bright spots are definitely the performances. Milly Alcock does a fantastic job as Supergirl, and the action scenes where she’s kicking ass are awesome. Jason Momoa is also great as Lobo, but he is massively underutilized. The movie completely misses the chance to showcase his cool powers. Instead of giving us more Lobo, we get stuck with a generic, "no name brand" main villain who lacks any real presence. The plot itself is incredibly frustrating and feels completely unneeded. The entire stakes rest on Krypto fighting for his life while needing an antidote that the villain is wearing around his neck. Supergirl has multiple opportunities to just grab it and blast off, but instead, the movie forces her to prolong the fight and save a random, powerless character that you just can’t bring yourself to care about. Because Supergirl easily packs up the villain and his cronies anyway, watching her choose not to just take the antidote is maddening. Visually, the CGI is pretty rough around the edges at times, though it's easy enough to look past. Fans should also know that Supergirl barely wears her iconic outfit until late in the film. Superman does make a few appearances, which is a nice touch, but he rightly isn't the focus. Ultimately, the writing feels incredibly off, and it makes complete sense when you realize James Gunn didn't write this one. Coming off Superman, this feels like a forced, forgettable bridge movie just meant to explain why Supergirl is working with her cousin in Superman: Man of Tomorrow. It’s a flat 5/10 or a 2.5 out of 5. #Supergirl

Film Threat founder and longtime critic @ThatChrisGore caught a Supergirl screening and did not hold back. “I leaned over to my friend during our screening of Supergirl and whispered, ‘This is terrible,'” Gore posted on X, before filming an out-of-theater reaction that got even more blunt. In the video reaction posted to YouTube, Gore and Alan Ng called the film a major disappointment. “That was profoundly awful,” Ng says. “I didn’t think a movie could be this bad.” The criticism centered on a few specifics. Both felt Milly Alcock was miscast in the lead. They knocked the cinematography as “dark, muddy,” arguing the film needed more light. And lining up with first reactions, they took aim at the villains as “boring and cliche,” with a larger complaint that the movie is missing heroic ideals altogether: “There’s no heroism in this movie.” Gore also flagged a story beat he found hard to believe — without spoilers — that the film “doubles down” on the idea that Superman was sent to Earth to conquer it. Ng also summed up the experience as exhausting and boring, even saying he canceled his Supergirl tickets this week to see it a second time.

Really wanted to love #Supergirl because of the comic but I felt super-disappointed. I did enjoy it with these great performances, but ADDING generic action, unnecessary editing and without a doubt the worst villain in all CBM, unfortunately this film will be Super-Forgettable.

Supergirl was mid. It missed the point of the comic and lacked the emotional gravitas needed for the story. It's fight after fight. Ugly CGI. Milly Alcock is great casting. Jason Mamoa has lots of fun but the movie just isnt fun. #supergirl #superman @supergirl @DCOfficial

Saw #SuperGirl last night.. This was like going from Black Ops 2 to Ghosts… It’s serviceable at best, Jason Mamoa was the biggest standout. Milly was solid. The rest of the movie is very paint by the numbers and doesn’t break any mold.

Supergirl was rough. It was a Guardians of the Galaxy like knock off ten years too late. Milly I felt was good, the story was bland with random skips and the visuals were devoid of vibrancy. Meh villain, cringy moments and came across as dated.

I wanted to love #Supergirl, but it’s just… fine. Good, not great. Milly Alcock SHINES!! Bringing vulnerability, attitude and immense heart to Kara while clearly establishing her as a very different hero from Superman. Her big-sister/little-sister dynamic with Eve Ridley’s Ruthye is compelling; while Jason Momoa is a natural fit as Lobo. The Superman moments (a lot more than expected) are a standout surprise. The story is poignant, balancing effective emotional beats with a fun space-western backdrop that feels like a blend of Guardians Of The Galaxy and Mad Max: Fury Road. That said, the film never fully comes together for me. The pacing moves so quickly that certain emotional beats and Kara’s arc don’t get the room they need to land, making parts of the story feel oddly disconnected. A few of the green-screen shots don’t blend and, at times, are downright embarrassing for a film of this scale. It succeeds in introducing Supergirl to the DCU, but the overall package feels a little off. There’s a lot here that I admired, yet the film gets in its own way too often and never quite reaches the heights it feels capable of.
