Max Zero showed up to our Super Middleweight Grand Prix without a booking and asked for a tryout. There was one problem: he was way too big for the Super Middleweight Grand Prix. But he was tall, he was handsome, he was standing right there, and we had Jeffrey John available to get beaten up. Ensuring Jeffrey’s demise was always one of our favorite hobbies. So we gave Max a match. He made sure it wasn’t his last. And when Max hit the Eddie Money Driver, somebody was going home tonight. Max kept coming back for UWFi Rules fights and tournament matches. At Heavy Hitters 4, he fought through the field and won the whole thing. Then he became the Heavy Hitters Champion. The guy we hadn’t booked became one of the people who defined the division. That’s a pretty good return on a tryout. Paradigm made room for people who showed up and gave us a reason to keep booking them. Max Zero walked in uninvited and earned his place at show 150. MAX ZERO returns at MIDLIFE CRISIS on Friday, November 20 at the Jeffersonville Arena. Tickets: ParadigmProWrestling.com Use code FOREVER to save $10 per ticket.

Derek Neal comes to us from Bowling Green, Kentucky. He’s a working man who never has trouble finding a good reason to kick somebody’s ass. When he entered our first Heavy Hitters tournament, he came in as the champion of a rival promotion. He didn’t ask for special treatment. He was content to fight whoever we put in front of him. He wrestled under UWFi Rules, fought his way through so many of our tournament fields, and faced just about every kind of wrestler we could put in front of him. Some nights he won. Some nights he lost. Every time he stepped through that curtain, he made somebody earn it. Derek Neal is the embodiment of Paradigm toughness. He never backed down, and after years of fighting his way through this roster, he’s earned his place at our 150th show.
