Hey folks, you can find me at @dereklandy.b sky.social (just delete the space) for my sporadic ramblings and suchlike. I'll be keeping this Twitter page to stop any hijacks, and I'm sure I'll check in occasionally, but... yeah.

Dublin readers! An event where I stand on stage and talk and answer questions! (And then sign whatever books you bring!) ilfdublin.com/whats-on/festi…

Okay folks, bad news… Due to train issues in Manchester Piccadilly, I won’t be able to make it to my Manchester signing this afternoon. Manchester signings are always HUGE and wonderful and we really didn’t want to have to postpone, but we have no choice.

TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT! Ireland and the UK! March and April! As far as I know, only the O'Mahony's and Forbidden Planet signings are un-ticketed affairs — so plan accordingly! waterstones.com/events/searc… ti.to/eason/eason-presents-d… forbiddenplanet.com/events/2…

Lovely!

To mark the final batch of reissues (with astonishing covers by Matt Taylor) we're having a competition to win an art print! Be the envy of your friends! Never stop gloating! gleam.io/D6qzq/skulduggery-p…

Things I’ll probably be saying a lot of in 2026: (to the stray cat) You’ve got to get out of the habit of biting me when I feed you.

The great thing about the reaction to the Doomsday trailers in cinemas (which I still haven’t seen) is the the love for James Marsden as Cyclops. Jackman got all the attention, which made sense, but i always wanted the movies to spend more time with Scott Summers.

I reckon I did pretty well this Christmas- how about you?

Merry Christmas, one and all!

Watching the trailer for Disclosure Day and the thing with Spielberg is that you can generally tell it’s him by any single frame. This shadow? Pure Spielberg.

Rewatching Scream 6, got to the scene in the park, and noticing some rather odd people wandering around… Never noticed them before.

I do not begrudge paywalls for news sites or political opinions. They need funding. But surely SOMEONE can come up with a temporary “rental” rate that allows you to read this one particular article that has caught your attention instead of a full subscription…?

Oh this is pretty cool… Two little award things for the audio books/drama… Thank you to all who listened! wrappedforauthors.byspotify.… #SpotifyWrapped

Ah, books…

That feeling when you’re flicking through @SFXmagazine and you suddenly remember “oh yeah, I did an interview for them…”
