i was just making a real observation that there's a group of bloggers out there that love to conflate a spooky or evil person buying bitcoin or funding bitcoin development, with bitcoin itself, and try to sensationalize it to mean something deeper. and it just happens the people trying to FUD bitcoin the most rn are citing those blogs to market other things such as zcash, monero, knots, BIP 444, etc... IMO the blogs are often well researched, so it's hard to attack the facts, but the implicated logic of "read between the lines" is often fallacious. so peter theil, jefferey epstein, larry summers, trump, etc.... bought bitcoin. so what. they also drink water and breathe air. they eat ham sandwiches too it gets even more retarded when these bloggers say "child sex ring" then use "epstein linked person", to conflate epstein's misdeeds onto a bunch of unrelated people. almost everyone on earth is connected to a wealthy elite via 2 degrees of separation (read: Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_De… ), it doesn't mean anything about them. to me, these things only became a serious problem starting around 2023 when @bitcoinmagazine's conference relegated the real bitcoiners to the side stages to make way for the politicians. then in 2024 you had coinbase, ripple and circle donate corruptingly large sums of money to politicians. then in 2025, bitcoin's entire narrative got captured and co-opted by the treasury scam. and i DONT think epstein funding bitcoin in 2015 or peter theil buying it a long time ago had anything to do with it. the concerning stuff (RE: suitcoiners and politicians co-opting the narrative) are very recent trends that only popped up within this bull cycle.
