The following keyboard shortcuts are working again: 1. Alt + X: Add Note using highlighted text 1. Alt + Z: Add Task using highlighted text

Took some time, but Web Imports are now working better than ever. If you're halfway through typing a note, you can import a web page, then come back and keep editing your note, until you're ready to save it. So both work pretty much independently now.

Recently made some major upgrades to core infrastructure, which has caused a few things to stop working properly, including Web Import and some keyboard shortcuts. Will try to get it back as soon as possible. For workarounds:

1. copy/paste web imports into the regular note field, and paste the url into the special field 2. use the buttons instead of keyboard shortcuts If any other issues are found, please mention them here

The secret to learning is thinking. Notes, flashcards, and study schedules only enhance your learning if they help you think more deeply and regularly about ideas than you would otherwise.

Learning is not about recalling facts. It's about opening your eyes and seeing things more clearly. However, without reviewing the best things you learned, your eyes can close once more, and you can go back to seeing things the way you did before.

You don't need to remember more: you need to work out what's worth remembering. Once you do, you can revise 10% of what you learn, and get 200% of the value. Why can it be better to remember less?

Another reason is that basic ideas can pop up in lots of contexts, so understanding a few basics can suddenly give you access to lots of other sources of info. However, advanced ideas tend to pop up more rarely, so memorising them naturally opens fewer doors.

So next time you feel like you're having trouble remembering it all, stop and ask yourself what few things will be most WORTH remembering. Once you do, your mind will be relaxed and much more focused on the important things.

Unless you're in school, you have a choice about what to learn, which sources to use and how to study. To make it easy to learn well, find the topics and approaches to learning that make you energised.

To reduce the stress of learning, and accelerate your progress, focus on how much you've learned, not how much there is left to learn.

When learning, follow your energy. When something pulls you in, ride the wave. When you feel bored, move on. You'll learn way more, and it'll feel way better!

*Switch between sub-topics* Large topics are made of many smaller ones, and some of those smaller ones can be more interesting or easier to learn. Learning a few of the easy ideas first is a great way to build momentum.

*Write your own notes* One of the under-appreciated benefits of writing notes is that you can actually change the material. In the case of boring stuff, you can think of fun analogies and/or emphasise the most meaningful part(s).
