Today, we broke ground on more than a new building. We celebrated the people, partnerships and community that continue to make Hopkinsville, Kentucky, an important part of U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company's American story.
Joined by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, state and local leaders, employees and community partners, we marked an important milestone with the groundbreaking of Baker Two, a major expansion of USSTC's Hopkinsville campus. Baker Two will create more than 200 new Kentucky jobs and approximately double USSTC's workforce in the state.
For more than 200 years, USSTC has been part of America’s manufacturing and agricultural tradition. Our Hopkinsville presence dates back to 1916, and Baker Two represents the next chapter in that enduring story: a continued investment in American manufacturing, Kentucky agriculture and the communities where our employees live and work.
