$10 million meant for sick kids ended up funding GOP politics under Moody’s watch. I’ve called on everyone involved in the Hope Florida scandal to resign. I want Ashley Moody in jail for her crime. I won’t stop fighting until there’s real accountability.  #AngieForFlorida

Lindsey Graham is spinning in his grave as our president continues to do everything possible to suck up to one of his authoritarian heroes, Vladimir Putin. Explain how this is America first? #MAGA. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
President Trump signed an executive order on Friday waiving new sanctions and tariffs on Russia required under the law named after the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, just two days before they were set to take effect. abcnews.link/ueikmdo

Senator Ashley Moody’s appearance on @WIOD last week raised more questions than they answered about her role in the plan to divert $10 million to Hope Florida. Moody rarely does interviews and listening to this interview may explain why. @CBSMiami youtu.be/1yhtMNUpqok?is=IbXg…

The Florida Republicans don't want you to see this. You definitely should watch.
The Republican Party of Florida is suing to stop you from seeing this ad. They threatened TV stations with criminal charges for running it. We’re not taking it down. We will make this as clear as possible to all Floridians: James Uthmeier and Ashley Moody stole $10 million from sick kids.

A grand jury found that the James Uthmeier-led DeSantis administration misappropriated $10 million of Medicaid money in 2024 as part of a sophisticated scheme to fund political activities. You know how I know that? Because the First District Court of Appeal disclosed it.

Floridians have gotten so used to corruption and incompetence from the Attorney General’s Office that we've forgotten what it looks like to have someone actually fight for us. James Uthmeier treats the AG’s office like a concierge service for $25,000 donations. I'm running to turn it back into the people's law firm. Raise your expectations. Vote José Javier Rodríguez for Florida Attorney General.

A good summary of how much Meta is in the tank for Trump. And a reminder that the authoritarian threat comes not just from within the Trump administration but from its oligarchic allies. Oligarchic power is now a clear and present threat to our democracy. open.substack.com/pub/popula…

This is what billionaire ownership of the media means: Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta shut down the No Kings account for hours during the height of their protests. Meta suppressed accounts supporting Brazil President Lula da Silva in the recent election. Larry Ellison’s TikTok blocked advertising for a documentary criticizing Elon Musk. Fight back. Defeat oligarchy. Preserve democracy.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Alex Gibney: “There was an estimate that what [Elon Musk] did by suddenly cutting USAID would cost through disease and starvation as many as 14M lives. Even if you discount that, we know within a year of those cuts where they were literally burning food going to starving children, 500K children died. This is really a crime against humanity, but he makes a joke about it, I put USAID into the woodchipper. What he put into the woodchipper were children”

Appears to be absolutely MASSIVE protests all across the US yesterday and this platform is so skewed to the Trump/Putin side that this is the first I've seen or heard of it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The montage uses recycled footage from larger 2025 and March 2026 No Kings protests, not Oct 17 2026 Vote Early events. Those were smaller localized gatherings (hundreds to thousands per city) focused on early voting, not the massive crowds shown. nytimes.com/2026/10/17/us/… abc7ny.com/post/no-kings-… minnesotareformer.com/2026/10/17/hun… npr.org/2026/10/17/nx-…

Donald Trump set another record. There’s NEVER been an election (since polling began in the United States) where voters said “corruption” was their top worry. Until now.

BULLSHIT @ScottforFlorida!!! My first child was born in 2000. My second child in 2003. My daughter was murdered under your leadership in 2018. Republicans have been in charge for all of this. Republicans are responsible for Florida becoming unaffordable. Republicans did the stupid mid cycle gerrymander and taken other steps causing me to worry about the integrity of elections. @davidjollyfl is the answer. DAVID JOLLY WILL BE THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF FLORIDA!!!
If you want to live in a safe community, see more job growth, and have trust in your elections, VOTE REPUBLICAN.

Meta took down the No Kings organizing page today - the biggest day of protest this fall. They provided zero explanation. It stayed down for the entire afternoon until most of the protests were done. Outrageous. Put this on the January investigation list.
