(Part 1) This #YomHaShoah, we remember the 6 million Jewish souls who perished in the Holocaust, and we honor their memories by documenting and combating campus antisemitism.

It takes 30 seconds to light a candle on #YomHaShoah . If I started now, lighting a #yellowcandle for each name in the #Holocaust DB I'd finish on August 11, 2023. Then the nameless candles - entire communities lost. End date - approx January 12, 2025. Every 30 seconds a name.

Today is #YomHaShoah, the date in the Jewish calendar for Jews around the world to mourn the loss of the six million Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust, and the damage and destruction caused to millions more lives.

This morning for the first time, I told my youngest daughter about the #Holocaust. We took out the #YellowCandle, the name was a little girl just her age. We spoke about what the little girls life must have been like, hugged and both had tears in our eyes. #YomHaShoah #NeverAgain

It is incredibly important to educate younger generations about the Holocaust. If we're not educated about the past, it could repeat itself.
Never forget.
