🚨87 Years Ago Today, Poland’s Gold Escaped Hitler’s Grasp!🪙
🪙This Day In Sound Money History: September 5
👉1939: Four days after Nazi Germany invaded Poland, Polish official Adam Koc departed Warsaw with a train evacuating the nation’s gold reserves!
👉Poland held roughly 95 tonnes of gold—including about 38 tonnes in Warsaw—& officials scrambled to move it east using buses, trucks & trains as German forces advanced!
👉The gold eventually escaped through Romania, helping preserve vital resources for the Polish government-in-exile while keeping the treasure out of Nazi hands.
👉When borders collapsed and institutions fled, physical gold could still be moved—& still carried value.
🍁1979: Canada officially released the 1-OZT, .999-fine Gold Maple Leaf—the world’s first 24-karat bullion coin. It would become .9999 fine in 1982.
🤝1990: A US Mint delegation reportedly began a weeklong diplomatic visit to the Moscow & Leningrad mints during the final years of the Soviet Union.
👉Three different moments. One enduring truth:
🔥Gold crosses borders, survives governments & remains valuable when political systems are shaken.

🚨Someone Buried 2,600 Silver Coins 600 Years Ago— & Never Returned!
👉Archaeologists excavating near the Kremlin in Kolomna, Russia, uncovered a small ceramic jug holding an enormous medieval fortune!
👉Inside were more than 2,600 silver coins, principally minted during the reigns of Grand Princes Vasily I & Vasily II!
👉Among them are rare locally minted issues depicting a bird in flight—including previously unknown varieties.
👉Together, the coins were worth approximately 13 rubles—enough in 15th-century Kolomna to buy two city houses or a small herd of horses!
👉The newest coins date to the 1420s, overlapping with a plague epidemic that swept through the region.
👉Did the owner bury a lifetime of savings—then die before revealing its location?
👉That remains a theory. Their identity & fate are unknown... But the silver survived!
🔥Six centuries passed!
🔥Governments changed!
🔥Currencies disappeared!
🔥The physical money remained!

🚨MAJOR BREAKING: India May Slash Gold & Silver Import Duties From 15% Back to 6%!👀
👉India’s government is reportedly discussing a major reversal of the tariff increase imposed in May!
👉Why reconsider it?
🔥15% duty has reportedly encouraged smuggling!
📉Indian gold is trading at steep discounts!
💰Bullion dealers say high taxes are pushing business into unofficial channels!
🏭Silver is also essential to solar, electronics & other industries!
👉Industry representatives are now pressing the government to restore the previous 6% rate.
👉Why this matters:
🔥India is one of the world’s largest precious-metals markets. A duty cut could lower domestic prices, revive legal imports & strengthen physical demand for gold & silver.
👉When India cut the duty from 15% to 6% in 2024, gold imports more than tripled that August—but festival & wedding demand also contributed.
⚠️Important: No final decision has been announced, & the duty remains 15%.
