Last night 3 @DelVal scholarship recipients of the @SSCF_Foundation attended the scholarship dinner last night. The foundation awards scholarships to students studying turf management that intend to become golf course superintendents.
Day 4 of Fall trip. We met with grad Nate Horvath and learned about the zoysiagrass bunker banks and tee leveling projects. Then we played 18 and returned to campus. @DVUAggies @DelVal @DVUgolf
Day 3 of Fall trip. The Shore Club. We spent time with GM Keven Horton and superintendent Doug Larson learning about their operation. Then we played the course. @DVUAggies @DVUgolf
Day 2 of fall golf trip. Too rainy for golf. Scott Bordner showed us the plans for the new maintenance facility, toured the new pump house and had lunch at Union League National golf course @DVUAggies @DVUgolf @UnionLeagueGolf

Class trip to Pinecrest Golf Course hosted by Brandon Martin. Mowing demo, dew whip, white grubs, pump house and shop tour. Students got a feel of the atmosphere around maintaining a public course
Today is the official day to give to the golf team. We will use it for bags, shirts, and travel costs for our Fall trip to south NJ. @DVUgolf

After adjusting my sampling method, I finally have some proof that more loose topdressing sand on the putting green surface results in lower organic.

Last month the @DelVal turf program hosted the LCAP Pest walk on campus. 50 lawn and landscape professionals spent 4 hours on campus looking at real world problems with turf and trees/shrubs. A much better way to learn than watching a screen.
