I was pleased to open today in Hanoi the Swiss-Viet Economic Forum. Bringing together business leaders, policymakers, and innovators from both nations, the forum serves as a vital platform to map out the future of Swiss-Vietnamese economic cooperation. With the announcement of our FTA, I am confident that we are entering an exciting new chapter in our cooperation, with immense potential to deepen our ties and unlock new opportunities in the years ahead.
Im Anschluss an die Unterzeichnung des Freihandelsabkommens mit Vietnam traf sich Bundespräsident und Wirtschaftsminister Guy Parmelin mit dem vietnamesischen Minister für Industrie und Handel, Lê Mạnh Hùng, zu einem bilateralen Gespräch.
By opening market access for goods and services, lowering costs, and creating a stable, predictable framework for businesses, this treaty establishes a combined market of nearly 116 million people with a total GDP exceeding USD 1.9 trillion.

It was a pleasure to meet with Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng 🇻🇳 We exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral relations and explored the opportunities and challenges arising from artificial intelligence.
