My entire point is that the clear time is ENTIRELY dependent on how you play the game. some people genuinely take a long time to beat the games, and others speed through it. That is the best part about the genre
yea metroidvanias are overall longer than before, but i dont think its a necessary downside if they enable (and encourage) you to speed through it
belmonts curse is like dread. can be lengthy, but if you know what you're doing, you can speedrun the game. i think thats the best way to go about it. potentially lengthy on first runs but have options for fast clears
