𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 Have you ever been in communities where you felt included yet alone simultaneously? I get it. I've been there too. In 2024, I started my tertiary journey at the African Leadership University, Kigali Rwanda.

Through my community @DefiNewbies and the support of the President of the Rwanda Blockchain Association @nhaguma, my goal of pushing blockchain adoption in Rwanda is becoming a reality. And it's an honor to be a speaker at the @africablockfest to address what I love most! GM

It’s not about speaking It’s about the idea. You can’t say A and do B I enter and I heard it’s a space for small account to learn from each other. For over an hours it’s big account speaking. It makes sense, but then putting an account I first to request the mic for, that’s. Not right na. And coincidentally it’s a big account. I wonder how I should feel about that. Well it’s the space, I really miss @DefiNewbies

From 0 to 150K+ followers To a 7-figure portfolio In less than 3 years ... Here’s a story of how I was able to achieve this: I remember my first tweet. It was a guide about 10x strategies And it literally put me on the twitter map But after going viral so many times I knew deep down I was off the mark I was popular but not influential I was getting likes but not cash Point blank? I wasn’t really making any money even though I hit the big 50k follower mark You see … I thought I had to hit a certain threshold before I monetized my audience But I had had enough I was so tired of giving “value” and not receiving anything I know you’ll;l feel the same way when you read this “When will my own big win come” ‘How else can I convert this views to cash” “What am I doing wrong” Questions like these kept me up at night I’m vey sure I reached out to over a thousand projects asking if they might want my writing/influencing services I’d stay up all night writing some thread … or a deep dive explaining an info someone asked for So I said it was time 50k is enough to start making money After all I’d been giving value right? People would surely pay for what I had to offer Wrong. Oh was I wrong… With the 50k followers I had gathered, I launched a course But after 7 days … Only 20 people paid And just 2 people were from my Twitter audience Turns out my “value” had only gathered people who wanted information and moved on They were very active readers, likers, and retweeters but not very active users You know why ? Because I had gathered people who were very much like me when I started My value contained information that could help people like me compete with me in the writing market Yeah! I was teaching people: - how to write threads that’ll go viral - How to optimize their follower profile to be clear & concise Basically I was teaching what I should have been taking money for You’d have thought that at least one of these people were going to at least tell me they wanted to pay me to help them grow their profile… Turns out that I was doing a lot of charity work For people who weren’t even really interested in growing their twitter long term For people who were only interested in making money quickly For people who didn’t even want to write daily Now that I think about it, I really had it backwards There was no one to give me advice at the time and I didn’t really understand when people told me to keep what I knew to myself so I could make money from it first I didn’t know the first thing about information asymmetry I was so valuable to others but I wasn’t even valuable to myself And because so many people could see this I couldn’t convert them, no matter how hard I tried I was the “extra” they would go to for information But not someone not to pay to learn from The real power isn't in follower count— and I learnt this this hard way It's in building an OWNED audience. So when did things start to work out? I had to see what my real competition was doing That why I really loved Edgy, he was an account in followed really early in the beginning I started to see how he was writing and how every single thing. He did was planned His funnel looked like this 1. Pump info on Twitter 2. Get them to subscribe to newsletter with a free needed guide 3. Launch a cohort every 6-months Guess how many students he had ? 100 Guess how much he charge per student ? $1500 Sweet 150k in the pipeline while I was giving the same info he was giving for FREE I changed my own strategy immediately I now knew enough but I was focusing too much on the likes & views metrics instead of the money metric So I launched a content agency where I helped people grow their followers and actually grew it to $30k MRR 2024 was a game changer for me The game changed when I started treating my followers like real people, not numbers.

A few weeks back, I had a great time with the best Web3 sugar daddy. Afterward, he suggested we go on a long walk... "Why a long walk? I could just take a taxi from here, Sir."

Remove distractions - Drop those games, Netflix, parties, time will come for them. For now, grind like you've got moi moi to make🤝🏻 Gather knowledge on web3 - I didn't have sufficient knowledge when I first came on this space. @DefiNewbies helped with that.

As a small account You give your all into writing a thread You deliver great and valuable content But get no engagement or even likes... What could you be doing wrong? I went on a journey to seek an answer from some Web 3 elders Here is what they said..

I can't hold this anymore I'm going to expose the whole truth Nothing but the truth And I'll expose everyone involved in this I came into this space 6 months ago Lost, confused and didn't know my way around → I got on-boarded into this space by @wittyprince_ through his community Learned Web3 jobs and Web3 style of writing from him Earned my first Web3 $$ from an alpha he shared Joining his community made me gain clarity In my 3rd month, → @Soma_DeEmpress shilled an alpha with me I took action, pitched myself and got my first weekly paid job in this space Thank you Soma and btw, today happens to be her birthday 😊 Happy birthday Soma🎈🎂 🥂 → @DefiNewbies gave me a platform to express myself. The first time I spoke in a space was at D-Valleys space in my first month The community was very supportive I learned a lot, and networked with amazing chads. This gratitude won't be complete if I don't mention @storyhunterkaz my bro Man was the one who told me about the Web3 space when he joined in March, and unveiled the opportunities to me → In May, I came in when I finally made up my mind, and since then I haven't looked back. I'm really grateful for the support from these amazing chads and many others this tweet will not contain I don't know how I would have gotten here without their support Thank you so much y'all ❤️🫶 Fams, in all you do in this space.. never walk alone. Cheers to an amazing weekend 🥂 Who are you grateful for?
