@REDBLACKS16h
The Ottawa REDBLACKS have named Mike Morreale as club president. “This is about more than building a team that can win. It’s about building an organization that can compete for championships and give people in Ottawa a reason to feel connected to and proud of the REDBLACKS.” Morreale brings a unique combination of football credibility and executive leadership experience. He played 12 seasons in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, earning multiple CFL awards and winning two Grey Cups.

12-year #CFL career, plus #CFLPA leadership. Morreale did some good things and brought a lot of energy to the CEBL during his tenure. Looks like a very good hire. #Redblacks #RNation

Chances are if you or your kids played or competed in minor sports or high school sports in Ottawa, Martin was at one of your games/competitions writing about it sometime over the past 53 years. Truly one of a kind. Congratulations on a wonderful career @MartinCleary!

BRYSON BARNES IS OTTAWA'S HERO. In his first career CFL start, Barnes went for over 400 combined yards and the game-winning touchdown with six seconds left to put an end to the Redblacks' winless 2026 season! #CFL

Major shoutout to the diehard @REDBLACKS fans who brought it. You had every reason to stay home. Players got a taste of what this place can be like. Best atmosphere of the season by a mile. Fans have been dying for something - anything - to cheer for all season. Glad you got a W.

I know that this doesn’t exactly reflect how many actually showed up for the tickets they purchased, but still. It is unreal how many fans still got off their wallets to stick with this team. Ottawa has always been a great football town.

A second go-around (actually third, if you count the cancelled 2020 season) seems unlikely, but not a ton of options expected in free agency again this offseason. New #Redblacks front office will have their work cut out for them. #RNation #CFL
