On Pakistan Air Force Day, I salute the courage, professionalism and indomitable spirit of our valiant air warriors. From the heroic defence of our skies in September 1965 to the decisive response during Marka-e-Haq in May 2025, the Pakistan Air Force has upheld its proud legacy of valour, precision and sacrifice. Through exceptional preparedness, technological excellence and seamless coordination with the sister services, it has repeatedly proved its ability to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty against every challenge. We pay solemn tribute to our Shuhada, whose supreme sacrifices will forever remain etched in the nation’s memory. The entire nation is proud of the Pakistan Air Force and stands firmly behind our sons and daughters in uniform.

Govt of India as a bot and Babus as AI agents. An Idea. India has its own AI models. GoI needs to create an AI bot called MyGovBot or "PM Sathi" going by contemporary GoI nomenclature. It should be an app and also available across all Govt websites. It must be trained on all govt information and be able access new information from govt sites. It must be multi-lingual. It will be a hit. GoI must also have agents. Want to apply for a passport? Ask MyGovBot and it will run an agent for filling the form of your local PPO asking you for required info and schedule an appointment for you. All through chat. Imagine how good it will be for not just some less capable or seniors, but even an educated IT employee to get things done like this with the government? Want to know how you can claim free govt insurance for a hospital admission of your 75 yr old dad? MyGovBot won't just answer with relevant information, but run an agent that can help you claim your Ayushman Bharat. The tech stack exists right now in India for implementing this in less than six months. It will impress Gen-Z too and give many of them some work with GoI. Islamabad : 18 August, 2026. PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets Google Delegation to Discuss Digital Transformation; Inaugurates Google First Office in Pakistan to Boost Tech, Youth Upskilling. A 9-member delegation of Google, led by Mr. Wilson White, Vice President for Government Affairs and Public Policy, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad today. H.E. Ms. Natalie Baker, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, also accompanied the delegation. Welcoming the delegation, the Prime Minister said Pakistan is undergoing a major digital transformation of governance, including the digitization of the economy. He shared the government’s vision of “Digital Nation Pakistan” and informed the delegation that several initiatives to develop the national digital ecosystem are at an advanced stage of implementation. The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to upgrading IT infrastructure and briefed the delegation on ongoing programs for training youth in IT and Artificial Intelligence. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with a global technology leader like Google in achieving these objectives. The Prime Minister welcomed Google’s decision to open an office in Pakistan, noting that it would further strengthen the country’s partnership with the company. He appreciated Google’s role in advancing Pakistan’s digital economy and lauded its initiatives that have enabled thousands of Pakistani youth to secure productive employment. Highlighting the potential of Pakistan’s youth in the digital space, the Prime Minister expressed hope that Google would further expand its footprint to upskilling and empowering them. He added that with Google’s local presence now established, high-impact programs could be scaled up further. Mr. Wilson White briefed the Prime Minister on Google’s future plans. He said the local office would deepen Google’s commitment to accelerating Pakistan’s digital transformation and build on years of existing partnership to create long-term opportunities for Pakistani youth and help local businesses go global. Expressing satisfaction over the ongoing Chromebook assembly line established by Google with local partners, Mr. White noted strong potential for Chromebooks assembled in Pakistan to be exported to other countries in the region. He stated that Google recognizes the immense potential of Pakistan’s young population and is keen to expand upskilling programs in IT, AI, gaming, and other areas.
