प्रधानमंत्री Narendra Modi की सरकार ने पिछले 12 साल में पेट्रोल-डीज़ल पर टैक्स के जरिए जनता से 44 लाख करोड़ रुपये वसूले हैं, जबकि तेल कंपनियों ने 3.5 लाख करोड़ रुपये का मुनाफा कमाया है।
इसके बावजूद आज पेट्रोल-डीज़ल के दाम बढ़ाने के लिए नुकसान का तर्क दिया जा रहा है। अगर सरकार जनता से इतना टैक्स वसूल सकती है, तो आम लोगों को राहत देने के लिए पेट्रोल-डीज़ल पर सब्सिडी क्यों नहीं दे रही?
