राजेंद्र जी के यू ट्यूब चैनल का लिंक- youtube.com/watch?si=kTMR4nU…

Are political parties truly fighting for the betterment of the people, or are they simply competing for a better seat at the table?
My latest #TharoorThink column in the @IndianExpress today looks at the larger question prompted by the recent Opposition party splits: what is politics for? I have always assumed that one enters politics to pursue one’s vision of a “better India” according to the values and principles one is prepared to fight for. If today politics is merely about selling oneself to the highest bidder, divorced from any sense of larger purpose than greater comforts for oneself, then what’s our entire parliamentary system worth?

CBSE’s three-language scheme must be evaluated within the Framework of the NEP 2020. Multilingualism matters in India, given its rich linguistic diversity. The three-language formula is not new. It has a lengthy policy history in India and is carried out within the Framework of today’s NEP 2020, with greater emphasis on flexibility, progression, and student learning. NEP 2020 connects Indian languages with the quality of learning. The message is clear. Children learn best when education starts in a language they know well, and then other languages are added to that base. The National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023 states that schoolchildren will learn three languages. They are called R1, R2 and R3. Under CBSE’s three-language scheme, at least two of the three languages studied must be native Indian languages. Classes VI to VIII focus on functional use of language, such as speaking, listening, reading and elementary writing. The object is comfort and confidence, not instant mastery. Students can study a Foreign language as per the CBSE's three-language scheme. A foreign language may be taken as R3 or in some circumstances, as an extra fourth language. R3 has no Class X Board Examination and no exam pressure. The third language will have an internal assessment, and no student will be debarred from competing in the Class X Boards on this count. The CBSE has also provided transitional support, including the interim use of Class VI textbooks, materials in 19 scheduled languages, State resources where needed for other languages, and flexible teacher-support arrangements. Multilingualism is often considered to be an educational advantage. Implementing CBSE's three-language formula across schools in our country will fully benefit our students. @EduMinOfIndia @ugc_india @cbseindia29
