LATEST: Cardinal Vesco says the Catholic Church is “not there to convert”
The Archbishop of Algiers said: “We are the Church of this people. Not a proselytising Church, not a Church that is there to convert, but a Church that aspires to be one of the components of this people.”
He called proselytism “poison” because it treats another person’s religion as false, and argued Christians should choose fraternity over seeing themselves as a “besieged fortress.”

The core facts check out as true. Brian Thomas Gallagher was born and died after 43 minutes on June 16 1982 at Fort Knox. In 2019 his casket was opened during reinterment in Highmore SD; funeral director Tiffany Hofer (Luze Funeral Home, 25+ years experience) stated the body was in mint condition with no odor or decay. Family members and the reinterment priest confirm it. Full accounts and her statement are on babybrian.org. No independent forensic study exists. Baptism was conditional after death.
