Not sure if you know this, but Westworld isn't real, it's fictional. Crazy, I know.
The central idea in ‘Westworld’ wasn’t that machines became conscious by getting smarter. It was that consciousness emerged when they began remembering their suffering instead of resetting after it. Now we’re giving NPCs persistent memories, identities, and the ability to hold grudges. It will make replay value skyrocket. Very fitting that these experiments begin in RDR.

So. The coffee shop I own came extremely close this week to signing a lease and opening up a Video Rental store & archive in Oak Cliff. Never say never, but do you think people would respond to that?

My Hellraiser movie pitch is basically "What if Patrick Bateman found the puzzle box?" A story of excess & desire in 1980's Wall Street, a yuppie trader with a penchant for murders & executions discovers the Box, as it opens during the story his life becomes a waking nightmare.

He has to do more and more depraved things just to feel something, anything, and every time he comes home another piece of the box has been solved. I like that his experiences open the box.

So he goes down this descent into depravity, all the while heading closer to his own doom. But in the meantime it’s all boardrooms and bars, clubs, sex shops and hardware stores. He sees cenobites in crowds but they don’t appear til the end.

This website is genuinely detrimental to our society! We simply cannot allow it to exist and the best way to do that is to migrate somewhere else.

There should be more love for John Carpenter’s 90s output. In the Mouth of Madness is excellent. Vampire’s is great. And it’s time to revisit Escape From L.A.

Ive been screaming from the hilltops that movies haven't been movies since at least the early 2000s. Top to bottom, young people have gone so long without real, quality films that they dont even know the difference. But just look right here - this is the difference.
I need people to see these two clips of Carrie (1976) and Carrie (2026) side by side to understand you are being fed slop and calling it a gourmet meal

First thing Im doing on set of my movies is replacing every damn led bulb with incandescents.
It's wild to think "I used to be alive when things looked like this."

Carrie May by the protagonist but she also becomes the antagonist. The book is more akin to a Tales From the Crypt episode where everyone is awful and they all get their comeuppance.

If not for the prom Carrie would’ve turned out just like her nutcase mother bc that’s how this stuff works. But the tragedy is she could’ve also turned out fine if not for the blood bucket.

Basically you gotta write her like she's a school sho*ter. If shes treated well in high school, at BEST, she doesn't do a mass murder but shes always gonna be someone who could've/would've done a mass murder on any given day. Shes fucked up.

So much of the star wars sequel trilogy would be fixed if Rey was the reluctant stormtrooper and Finn was the lost one on the crappy planet.

They solidify their love in the throne room fight (halfway thru the 2nd film just like both other trilogies) but he cant resist the dark side and becomes emperor. I think you can see from there the push/pull of the final film, ultimately they find balance thru trust & sacrifice

sharing both the light and dark parts of themselves with one another, a redemptive arc for both of them not jut a hand wave redemption for kylo at the 11th hour.
