In July 2024, a father from Cebu City, Philippines, shared the final message written by his 23-year-old son Jonathan shortly before he died.
Jonathan had become too weak to speak properly and was struggling to communicate. According to his father, Joel Sia, he seemed to be trying to signal that he could see someone.
Joel handed him a pen and paper.
Jonathan was shaking and barely able to hold the pen (1/2)
"No company has been or will be more shareholder-minded than Berkshire."
Buffett was an inspiration for us to get into securities but this is one statement we disagree with – Berkshire can't guarantee a market price; and even disclaims repurchasing stock during market turmoil.

Breaking: Michael Burry says OpenAI and Anthropic are faking the AI warnings due to slow growth ahead of IPOs
Below are his reasonings:
1. LLMs are not AI and won't be AGI. There is nothing AI to slow down.
2. Competition is coming up fast, slowing benefits incumbents.
3. IPOs need hype & puffery; "we are so awesome it could become dangerous" is hype & puffery
4. Cover for real uncontrollable slowing growth as IPOs look to be pushed out

“Be not afraid of going slowly. Be afraid of standing still.”
