"Feelings, and feelings, and feelings. Let me try thinking instead." — C.S. Lewis – at Loyola, CA
Do you know why it is actually okay for the Christian to be defeated by his enemies in this life? Because we have eternal life in peace and joy with the Lord to come forevermore. Our enemies, as it currently stands, have hellfire that awaits them—being torn apart by the Lord forever and ever without peace. We die to them and for them, as Christ did to and for us, that they too may be saved and become our brothers. This is a hard thing to accept, but it is true.

The PSYOP is so obvious. They tell you Israel baited the US into starting a war with Iran. Setting aside whatever you think about Israel, I voted for a war with Iran. Most people who voted for Trump—most, not all—voted to take down Iran, because we understand reality. Blame us, that's fine (we're still right), but don't fall for the nonsense. The left and the right are currently linking at the edge over a red herring which will lead to far more damage to this country than any outside war. The battle is within, and the undiscerning do not perceive it.
I was thinking about all these sick people mocking Charlie Kirk’s horrific death. Then I remembered how Jesus was mocked on the cross. Then I remembered how the apostles, after being flogged by the Sanhedrin, rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name of Christ. Then I realized Charlie died in like manner, worthy to suffer dishonor for the name. Man, what an honor.

“For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.”

I find this passage a sleeper passage in support of infant baptism:
“And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus, but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, he said, ‘Man, your sins are forgiven you.’” (Luke 5)
Jesus sees the faith of the men on behalf of the paralyzed man and forgives his sins. Amazing. This totally blows up our modern evangelical theology.
Now, we know later in Luke (18) some parents brought their infants to Jesus, in similar fashion, in faith, and the disciples tried to shoo them away. Jesus rebuked them and received the children. He even made it a point to say that it is men who must become like infants, in faith, to receive the kingdom of God, not the other way around.
With this in mind, suppose I bring my infant son to Jesus, in faith, with the hope that Jesus will forgive all of his sins, grant him faith, and seal him with the Holy Spirit as a guarantee. What should I suppose Jesus will do of his own free and sovereign will? What should I suppose Jesus desires to do with his kingly authority as I humbly approach him with my son laid down at his feet?
This answer is obvious, isn’t it?
“When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on earth, how neither day nor night do one’s eyes see sleep, then I saw all the work of God, that man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. However much man may toil in seeking, he will not find it out. Even though a wise man claims to know, he cannot find it out.”
(Ecclesiastes 8:16-17)
