The prophet is not one who seeks the office but one who is seized by divine pathos. The prophet does not volunteer; the prophet is conscripted. The prophet does not build a platform; the prophet is burdened by a word that must be spoken regardless of consequences. The contemporary phenomenon of claiming the title "prophet to the nations," complete with branding, promotional materials, international platforms, and apostolic endorsements, inverts this pattern entirely. When the title becomes a brand rather than a burden, when it is adopted rather than reluctantly received, when it is promoted rather than borne with anguish, something has gone deeply wrong. The marketing of prophetic identity is a contradiction in terms. One does not market a burden; one carries it. But there is an even more fundamental problem that renders the category "prophet to the nations" obsolete in the New Covenant. In Christ, the prophetic office has reached its fulfillment. Christ is THE Prophet, the one to whom all the prophets pointed, and whatever prophetic function continues in the Church is derivative of and subordinate to his completed prophetic work. Listen for it.
