Dear friends and loved ones, on Dec 11, our beloved Leda breathed her last breath. Diagnosed nearly five years earlier with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer, Leda drew on her core optimism and joy to embrace each day as fully as possible.
2/3: Leda navigated her illness with the wisdom, integrity and love that characterized her entire life. I value every moment I was able to share with her and know you do as well. Please take a moment to remember what you loved about Leda and share some of it with the world.
3/3: We’ve created a website, Rememberingleda.org, with more about Leda’s life. I hope you’ll share this sad news with community members who would want to know.

I can't resist one more thread on boosters. I see lots of debate on data: about antibody levels, infections vs severe infctns, etc. I don't see much about the big issue: the tension between 2 perspectives – that of individuals vs. society.(1/25🧵)

Just picked my daughter up from outdoor camp 3 blocks from
Bay (I.e. very breezy). Kids have to mask. Vaccinated adults also masked. The public health messaging in CA is scrambling everyone into ineptitude. Outdoor masks are NOT NEEDED. Don’t perpetuate anti-science behavior!
Really great evidence-based article. I wish we could give up outdoor mask mandates for kids in CA already. Summer camps still require and schools likely will in fall. Ridiculous and not evidence-based. How has this state become so anti-science on this one?
