Today marks the 81st anniversary of the atomic bombing on Nagasaki, Japan on the morning of August 9, 1945.
Three days after the bombing of Hiroshima, Nagasaki further demonstrated the unprecedented devastation brought by such destructive weapons.
81 years later, we reaffirm our commitment toward nuclear disarmament.

We all knew these situations were going to happen, and so did FIFA. Yet they still allowed the World Cup to go ahead in the U.S. They are not receiving anywhere near the level of scrutiny they should.
The United States has denied a visa for Iran's national team manager Mehdi Mohammadnabi.
He will be barred entering the U.S. for their the Fifa #WorldCup 2026 matches.
He & others also denied visas will travel to the team camp in Mexico whilst efforts to obtain visas continue.

No country should be allowed to host the World Cup while imposing discriminatory rules on qualified and participating teams.
This ought to be a very basic requirement.
Iran’s World Cup squad has been notified they must enter and leave US soil on the same day of their matches played in America, says Tehran’s ambassador to Mexico.
