Rest in Peace, John Kelly. A generous, intelligent man who helped me greatly during my studies.

En una película llena de estrellas, destacar es difícil. A Robert Duvall le dió exactamente igual en El Padrino Parte II (1974), una interpretación inteligente y elegante, con autoridad sin excentrecidades.
Esta es una de mis escenas favoritas de la película.

A statement on yesterday…..
Everything I said in that interview was true. However, rest assured I’m doing my best to turn things round.
I have been in a mental health clinic for the last 10 weeks, finally discharging so I could attempt to play in Belfast
I owed that to my family, in particular my daughter to see me play for what could be the last time….. I also owed it to the fans who have supported me throughout my 21 years on tour
I also owed that to World Snooker who have been amazing from day on in all this, in particular Simon Brownell and Neil Tomkins who have remained in touch regularly, even Simon paying me a visit in the clinic itself
I’m not ok, but I’m ok in that itself. I’ve been much worse in the last few months than you saw yesterday. I literally didn’t see a future in anything…..
My daughter kept me going, the therapists, staff and all the other patients were amazing and helped me through some really dark days
I see the light now that I couldn’t see before but I do now. I also know it won’t happen overnight. I’m a work in progress!!! My fight and determination on the table has always been there for ones to see. I need to show those same fighting qualities off it now for a while
Please don’t detract anything from Jordan yesterday, he’s been aware of my struggles and that can’t have been easy to play in but he handled it with grace and skill as I knew he would. Im proud to call him a friend
I hope the rest of the event is a success and I will continue my treatments going forward and then see what’s ahead
Thank you to every single message I have received on here, instagram, Facebook, text messages and WhatsApp’s, I’ve seen them all but a bit overwhelmed to reply right now. Just know that they have helped me a lot but I’m not going anywhere just yet!!!! I have so much to live for and this is only the beginning of my new journey
Also, I was not made to do any interviews, I was simply given a choice and felt I owed it to everyone to speak. The media team at WST have been incredible through all this too
Thank you all x

A couple of masters at work here. Duvall, typically overlooked as a utility actor, blows this scene away as his voice cracks with emotion over the death of his adoptive brother. After all, Sonny "found" Tom on the street and brought him home.

I always say that movies are moments - long after we’ve finished a film, things like plot/characters/narratives - so much is forgotten over time. But moments remain. I believe a film that’s filled with moment…after moment…after moment is a masterpiece. Stringing along moments like that is how you create a film that’s utterly timeless. Such is the case with The Godfather Part II.

This scene was so important because it was shown minutes after Fredo got killed. It shows that Fredo trying to shake his hand was a core memory for Michael and that's why the betrayal hurt him so much. He knew Fredo was weak, but Fredo had always shown that he had a good heart toward Michael. At the same time, Sonny isn’t mad at Michael for joining the Marines. He’s afraid of losing his brother to what he sees as a stupid war. Getting angry is the only way he knows how to show his emotions

The nervousness in Michael's face after he gets the gun, it makes me feel nervous for him too, incredible acting

In The Sopranos, the most dangerous moments happen when nobody sees them coming.
While the mob discusses the changing balance of power between Phil and Johnny, Gerry Torciano is gunned down in a restaurant with the audio suddenly muted, making the violence even more chilling.
No dramatic soundtrack. No warning. Just a brutal reminder that in this world, a promotion can be a death sentence.
Was Gerry’s hit one of the most shocking power moves in the entire series?

The Color of Money (40 today) gave rise to two absolute classics.
Tom Cruise’s “Doom” line inspired the iconic video game title, and Martin Scorsese began reading Nicholas Pileggi’s Wiseguy during downtime; later adapted into Goodfellas.
I was obsessed with this film.

What started as two young actors waiting for class became a friendship built on respect, trust and years of shared memories. Through every chapter, we’ve stood by each other and celebrated the good times. That bond has remained something I’ll always be grateful for, my friend.
