Sitting in the @Beatson_Charity cafe before a job interview and watched someone ring the bell!! Is it professional to go into an interview slightly weepy? 🥲
This virus going around is no joke. Swollen lymph nodes mixed with the hot weather and mad sinus pain is just really not fun 😷 #notcovid

We are over the 🌙 to receive this grant! A really proud moment for the lab! Can’t wait to progress the data and show the #SNFs how their hard work fundraising really changes what we know and what we do! Thank you! @POG_LRC @CoplandMhairi @halsey_lab @UofGCancerSci
Exciting #news 📣
We are proud to announce a new #ResearchProject led by @horne_gillian of @UofGlasgow that aims to improve treatment for children with a rare variant of #leukaemia.

Writing my thesis is sort of curing me of imposter syndrome (it’s a visual reminder that I know my stuff!) #phdchat 🤓

We should normalize just how good PhD students are.
You already have a bachelors (maybe a masters too). You’re already highly qualified, and now you’re researching something that very few people IN THE WORLD can do. You’re literally one of the best in the world in your field.
My cat is in a huff with me because she has jam on her tail (like I was the one who told her to sit on my toast)

Well done to @DecafAmy describing some of our research so beautifully in a ‘reader friendly’ format (@CCLG_UK funded) @POG_LRC @UofGCancerSci #Horne_leukaemia_lab @halsey_lab @CoplandMhairi

Sorry for the terrible pic 😀
I’m keeping a tally of how much coffee I drink during my thesis write up, so far it’s 3 (but I’m not counting how much irn bru xtra I’ve drank because I don’t want to know) ☕️
Throwback to primary school in IT when I kept on crashing the school computers so my teacher chucked me out the class and I did art all year instead. Now I code as part of my PhD and I’m a pretty good artist (even won an illustration award). Thanks Mrs Clarcke!✌️
