In April 2023 at the @ngadc, #DeclareEmergency supporters Tim Martin and Joanna Smith took action to protect our planet. Unlike the #Degas #LittleDancer sculpture, humans donāt have plexiglass to protect us from the effects of climate change. Tim used black paint to represent #oil and Joanna used red to represent #blood. They were both arrested after speaking out and this action resulted in widespread press. Tim Martin has been remanded to jail pending his sentencing hearing on August 22. Heāll be held in DC Jail. The judge said Tim displayed āan array of methodologiesā that demonstrate contempt of the rule of law.
