A lot of them kill themselves because they are denied rx opioid medications for pain treatment. You can’t write off every suicide to ‘mental illness.’ If they were allowed access to rx pain meds and it saved one life wouldn’t that be worth it?
On average, around 17 veterans die by suicide each day. America’s heroes deserve to know they are never alone and that our nation is forever grateful for their service and sacrifice.
As a community, we should continue to honor our veterans, raise awareness of this crisis, and strengthen our commitment to ensuring they receive the mental health support they deserve.
That’s why I introduced a bipartisan resolution to express support for America’s veterans and designate September 22nd as National Military and Veterans Suicide Awareness Day.
It is our duty as Americans to stand with our service members and veterans. If you or a loved one is struggling, help is available.

it's wild to me that a doctor brought this up to you. for basically everyone else i've heard from it's the other way around.
so i'm excited to give this a try because making the initial requests working with shopify's graphql was a little tricky for me. i was happy i could share with someone & get helpful tip.
this girl was like "'why' is the right question. nothing is wrong with web APIs. i like to use this tool when working with graphql APIs." & then shared this tool that seems like it takes a lot of the thinking out of making the request.

i shared that i successfully used a graphql API for the first time the other day & then ended my story with "why? why are we using graphql? what's wrong with web APIs?"
i'm finally back to Doing Computers again & someone reminded me of the value of sharing your work with others.
i don't believe that i actually want facial hair or anymore extra body hair, but i would like to be gendered male more frequently if i must choose between The Two Options. having the full puberty experience i think would get me closer to that goal.
i mean, my experience for sure is not the typical. most people do not pick & choose their puberty experience. most people probably aren't thinking about how these changes might affect their relationship with family or other people.
i quit taking finasteride a month ago. hair is starting to come in & i feel like i'm experiencing a slight panic, but not nearly as much panic as when i decided to start taking finasteride to prevent this part of T puberty 6 years ago.
i'm so sorry friend. i'm wishing you the best. please let me know if you'd appreciate any help looking at other options. 💜
