Today marks three years since Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel. I stand in solidarity with our Jewish friends, neighbours and colleagues as we remember the victims, families and all those affected. My deepest condolences to everyone living with the trauma and loss of October 7

School exclusions and suspensions in London are now half the national average.
Keeping children in school helps to keep them safe – and that’s why this progress is so important.

As Jewish communities across London mark Yom Kippur, I'm thinking of those carrying loss, worry or fear, and reaffirming my commitment to making our city a place where Jewish Londoners can feel safe and be safe.
Additional Met officers will be on patrol around synagogues and local communities to reassure Jewish Londoners and to make sure they can observe this important period safely and with confidence.

To Jewish Londoners and communities across our city, wishing you a meaningful Yom Kippur and an easy fast.

(1/2) The Disability Action Plan is here! Thank you to everyone who contributed, and we are pleased that some of our recommendations made it into the final plan. Special thanks to @HinaBokhariLD and @debs_wb for their vital contributions.
Read the plan, with BSL + Easy Read👇
Too many Deaf and Disabled Londoners continue to face unacceptable inequalities in our city, excluded from opportunities many of us take for granted.
London's first Disability Action Plan is a major step forward in our mission to bring about real change.

60 years of Notting Hill Carnival - now one of the world’s greatest celebrations of Caribbean culture, community & London.
It's founders understood the power of culture to challenge racism, build understanding & turn strangers into neighbours. We need that now as much as ever.
As #NottingHillCarnival celebrates its 60th anniversary, I'm proud that the @MayorofLondon is backing this world-famous, vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture with additional funding to enhance safety, helping everyone enjoy the event safely.

I'm devastated for the family and friends of Jason Arday.
He faced an unacceptable public hounding and campaign of abuse. I know many Londoners will be angry and upset this evening.
Jason Arday was the victim of a pernicious public shaming that other people in his position simply wouldn’t have faced.
His death was a tragedy, but once again it should be a wake up call for all of us.

The report from the London AI and Jobs Taskforce makes one thing clear: the impact of AI on jobs is not predetermined.
I'm pleased to accept the flagship recommendations from the Taskforce and back them with £18 million in skills and careers support for young Londoners.

Wonderful show of solidarity from the Waltham Forest Loved & Wanted Alliance. This is exactly what the Mayor’s #LovedAndWanted Campaign is all about. When one person is attacked our communities unite & respond with love.

Today, I laid a wreath in Hyde Park to honour the 52 innocent people killed on 7 July 2005.
We honour those injured, the families who carry the loss, and the heroic emergency responders who ran towards danger that day.
London remembers. You will never be forgotten.

Someone has to say it.
The amount of racism directed at World Cup players - including in the England squad - on this platform is out of control.
We cannot allow a vile vocal minority to divide our nation. A lot of this content is illegal and Ofcom should be investigating.
Solidarity with every player targeted. We are united.
