Shawnie is the visionary Founder and Executive Director of Melanin Unlimited, a nonprofit organization with a mission to promote diversity and inclusion through empowerment, inner beauty, and mental health support. With a focus on inspiring and uplifting melanated families, Shawnie's passion shines through in the initiative "Dining with Our Daughters." Having experienced firsthand the challenges of adversity while growing up in an urban community, Shawnie understands the transformative power of guidance from strong women. Through D.W.O.D., she celebrates women and girls, empowering them with lessons in etiquette, dining practices, grace, self-care, and other invaluable bonding experiences.
