Spot bidder on Binance continuing his $BTC TWAP in size. This entity has absorbed over $60m alone today since he turned the TWAP on
A large entity on Binance managed to hold the line all day bidding $BTC amid wider market weakness. Would have typically seen BTC down 4-5% once again on a day like this. Big question remains whether they can continue to defend 80k into next week if we see further weakness in equities.

Ideally we’d want to have something more concrete come out about a fund that was deleveraging last week given the orderly selling we saw across a number of AI infra names. On face value, the price action we saw around the Anthropic investor meetings would have to be a slight concern otherwise, coinciding with the IPO continuing to be pushed back. Going to be a lot of eyes on the S-1 when they do eventually file.

JUST IN: Anthropic to dedicate 20% of its shares to "public good."

loracle is someone who gets a lot of stick on this platform. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with his ideas, the fact he continues to trade this sort of size on public wallets can only be respected. Interesting portfolio makeup currently, short a combination of AI/shitcoins and long BTC as a hedge

Assuming the FED hike, what happens to USDJPY? Back above the Bessent intervention level? Are Japan going to have to raise more than 25bps to keep that trade on side?

We will bang the drum again. Rate hikes do not fix this.
PPI final demand goods rose 2.6%, the biggest monthly increase on record. Over 80% of the broad-based rise in September is attributable to the index for final demand energy, which jumped 10.8% Half of the increase can be traced to prices for gasoline, which jumped 20.3%.

Uranium and related equities should be on your radar as an investor if you believe rates start to come down next year.
Uranium's back retesting its July lows, and the vol's barely reacting. URA's down about 13% on the month. One-month implied is sitting right near the bottom of its range, so the vol's just drifting, while the skew's not making new lows. I can see why longer-term bulls might start getting interested around here as calls look cheap. But retail appears to be puking out, so we may still need some big down days to complete the flush...

No Anthropic S-1 leak today then?

Bitcoin holding up extremely well given cross asset price action. Earlier this year it would have been BAU for $BTC to be down 4-5% on a day like this. $MSTR potential MSCI removal a potential headwind but generally speaking Bitcoin is trading like it's seeing through what we believe are misdiagnosed rate hikes that will not tackle the current inflation problem and sniffing out the easing policy we are likely to get next year.

It is becoming increasingly tiresome listening to FED speakers contradict themselves in their speeches. Hammack highlights how stretched low income consumers are in current conditions whilst subsequently calling for tightening of monetary policy. A move that will disproportionately put this cohort under even more pressure. Playing around with hiking the short end will not tame the current sources of inflation.
Fed's Hammack: Comments from low-income workers were first about trading down, now they are beginning to juggle what bills to pay

Disgusting if true. Fairly obvious what the agenda is here.
